Thanks. By the way: STILL donāt have a production date for the MME. Although the GM told me the price is locked in AND if it doesnāt happen by 8/25, the order converts to a ā23MY at no cost
I actually received a call from Hyundai yesterday that the car was delivered! Talk about good timing! We signed the docs and secured the $7500 tax credit before Biden signs this week, as well as the state credit of $750 which goes away 9/1.
Itās a really, really smooth ride, especially with...

Just met with my dealer. The order bank for 2023 cars has been moved to 8/25. If we donāt have production dates by that time, our MY converts to ā23
Youāre the first person Iāve seen who is of that opinion. I asked the same question on the Ioniq 5 Forum, and they all opined that Ford mfgās in North America, thus the Tax Credit is solid until 12/31. On 1/1 it will likely drop to $3750 unless things change, just as some posted above
weird. My Hyundai dealer is basically saying something similarā¦they gave me the vin and said it delivery was imminent, and now are saying the shipping company shows it as delivered but they canāt find it! Now Iāll lose the tax credit
It says in the bill that the credit is derived from point of sale, so Iād imagine it would have to be from the dealer in a used car transaction or there is some type of clawback from the original buyer of the original credit.
I like that they have reinstituted the tax credit with the caveat of...
