Am I being unreasonable to think I should have received a production date within 3 months after ordering? I’ve seen several similar situations, and many received a production date within 9 weeks. Is it because of the recall? Please talk me off the cliff

Congrats! When did you order and which options? I ordered 3/28 a Select RWD, and thought I’d be hearing something around now

more naïveté on my part, but why would Ford do that? I ordered online and assigned a dealer. If you ordered through a dealer, why would I get priority (if that’s the case) when we are ultimately both the customer.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what does scheduling for retail orders mean? Are they focusing only on commercial sales?

There are distinct positives for each car, and I am on the waitlist for both. Personally, I’m hoping I end up with the Mach e, but every review I’ve seen and every person I’ve spoken to who has had the opportunity to drive both have opined that the i5 is the more comfortable ride

Absolutely. The ones who say they don’t mark up still require add ons. One dealer had $1500 in add ons, another $2500, another $6100. Another reason I’m hoping I get a notification that my Mach e select is in production before an I5 becomes available to me. However, the comfort of the ride...

I agree the SEL is a much better value, and I ordered one myself. But if the OP followed your suggestion, he'd have to begin all over again and go through the long wait, as well as increasing price (not to mention mark ups and add ons), to get the car he wants. Not worth it. My dealer doesn't...

Great and timely review. I ordered my MME select on 3/28, and a month later went into the queue for an I5 SEL. Each have significant pluses over the other, which ultimately leaves us at picking the first one available. Will probably stick with the MME if we get a production date before the I5...

Ordered my mach e Sel 3/38. It's my understanding that we have to hire an electrician to install a nem 14-50, and you can use the Ford supplied charger. Has anyone opted to purchase a smart charger like Juice Box or Charge Point, and is that even necessary? Thanks

I ordered 3/28, and am concerned with the lead time. Really want to stick with the Mach e, but I‘m concerned I may lose out on the full tax credit and likely can land an Ioniq 5 earlier with no markup. Any guidance with what the lead time has been recently? Thank you
