Had the same problem and no technician could figure it out. I'd send in complaints to Ford and try to lemon it out. That's the only way Ford will learn to send out a 50k+ car in it's third model year full of bugs.

I have the same problem and made a thread about it. The trunk liftgate feature is BROKEN on the 2023s - despite what Ford and others say. Please keep taking it in and try to lemon it out based on your state laws. Ford shouldn't be selling broken cars.

See for me, the trunk opens fully each time when the car is unlocked. If this was designed behavior there would be some sort of pattern and documentation. Everything else is just cope from Ford.

That's exactly my point - this is most likely a software issue. Ford needs to figure it out and be held accountable. I find this issue really annoying as I often try to open the trunk while holding packages.

If this is the case (that it's a software bug) then I feel like this is even more reason to lemon. Charging is core feature of an electric car. I've owned electric cars for 7 years and I never experienced anything like this before. This should have never been a bug. Does Ford even have a QA team?
