I got mine done in a day by the glass outfit owned by my dealer. I was wary but no issues whatsoever.
I would suggest you:
1. Ask them how many of these they have done, and whether the glass work is performed in-house.
2. Ask them how many windshields have broken, and whether they keep one...
Yeah, as a utility employee, I can be disciplined for parking nose-in when using a company vehicle. I pretty much back in (or better, pull through) when parking my personal vehicles. Other family members - not so much.
I do think I have much better visibility when pulling out of a parking...
I think I would look for another dealer if they break every one and want to keep it for two weeks.
I waited for a year to have this done so they would have practiced on a bunch of them before mine. I used the glass outfit which was part of the dealer network from which I purchased the car...
I wonder if they *do* NYS inspections, but they just don't *want* to do them, because in the absence of any repairs, they can only charge $21 for the inspection per NY rules. Perhaps the calculus is that it takes more than $21 in labor to check off all the inspection boxes.
Took mine in for...
Landlines are not dead, but are rapidly declining.
It's fine if you don't want one, but landline pricing is far below what it was even 10 years ago, and most plans now include all local and USA calling, in response to "no long distance" mobile plans. Many people now see more value in mobile...
If it's a '23, it's definitely not an FE. FEs were in the first year (21) only, and only came in Red, Gray, and Grabber Blue, if I recall correctly. The differences are entirely cosmetic (red calipers, body color wheel lips, door sill badging, silver brake/accel pedals, accent colored interior...
Have you gone to the dealer for 22S41 and 22B28? I have Jan '21 FE (4X) and asked for those, as well as 21G01, which they told me was on hold. I had not received any updates for almost a year, but those two seemed to break the logjam, and I have been getting updates regularly since then...
My 2 cents -
Telephony equipment from Huwawei, ZTE, and couple of other Chinese companies is strongly suspected of facilitating active data collection where installed. Major US telcos have embargoed it and where already in use by smaller telcos, it is being replaced long before normal end of...
Lee/Mike/other guru,
I had been stuck for almost a year at 2.7.1 with no updates. I got 22S41 and 22B28 done at the dealer on 2/22/23, and that seemed to open the flood gates, regular OTAs have been flowing.
Since then, I received 2.7.3, 2.7.4, 2.8.1, 22-PU0727-VI-FXB 21G0 (Bluecruise)...
Original neighbor of mine put up a stockade fence to avoid looking at the knee-high grass of his neighbor on the other side. Went from back corner of his house to property line, then all the way back to rear of lot. We got along, but he said he thought he needed to make it symmetrical so he...
Ford says this feature uses "camera technology", but do we know if it relies on cameras only? If other sensors looking for any kind of density (solidity?) are involved, or are used in conjunction with the cameras for confirmation, perhaps they may not be able to detect these blow-up animals...
Not sure if this is helpful to anyone, but I did not receive any updates for about a year on my 21 FE Job 1. I recently took the car in for a couple of CSP/Recalls, and the updates appear to be unstuck. I got Bluecruise last night, tried it out today....works well.
My history:
2.6.0 2/18/22...
I have had automatic updates on since I bought the car in Feb 2021. I received 2.6.0 on 2/18/22 and 2.7.1 on 2/20/22. No numbered updates since then.
Last week, I took it in for recall 22S41 (BECM update), CSP 22B28 (HVAC reprogram), and 21G01 (Bluecruise), hoping that the combination of...
I worked at a country club in HS and the crew boss would constantly sent the new guys back to the shop for stuff like pipe stretchers and metric Crescent (adjustable) wrenches.......
I can confirm that 21G01 is still on hold due to IPC programming issue - just got the call from my dealer. I did get a couple of other updates, though, so not a total loss.
EDIT: Service guy also mentioned that there was an F150 update to address flickering headlights they applied to a truck...
Taking my First Edition in Wednesday for the roof & windshield recalls, as well as a bunch of updates (22S41, 22B28, 21G01, 22B08). I would like to know where I stand now before I take it in, so if someone has a moment to check 3FMTK3SU5MMA10711, I would appreciate it.
XPel PPF & Ceramic on everything. Very happy after 23 months.
Edit: the coating is Opti-coat, and I use ONR at the recommendation of the folks who installed the PPF/ceramic. Never been to a car wash of any type with this vehicle.
