    VW ID.4 Unveiled Today

My First Edition remains nowhere to be seen... looking like I'll be heading over to VW as the local dealer says they can have a ID.4 on the lot by mid-March, and who knows where my Mach-E will be by then.

Ford's electric-Mustang boss takes swipe at Tesla quality issues

Good thing he didn't say "the windshield doesn't come off" then Nearly 100,000 trucks recalled for front windshields that are "inadequately bonded to the vehicle body structure" looking forward to seeing the cocky Ford swagger here...

Bjorn livestream of Mach-E range test

Maybe if they told us more and didn't try to keep things secret there'd be less chatter on here.

Bjorn livestream of Mach-E range test

So you like it when you're kept in the dark? Have to admit man, that's not normal. Most people like knowing what they're buying, I think.

Unless, of course, you want your customers to find you trustworthy and know what they're buying. Then show your hand to start. Holding things back from us just makes us suspicious.

How are you hunting for cars that are dealer stock/refused by initial order?

One unofficial way to check - I've noticed all the local dealer demos are "low" VINs, all in the 1000-4000 sequence number range, which makes sense as they were all built sort of at once, and there's about 2-3,000 EV-certified dealers. So if the VIN sequence # is under 4,000ish, there's a high...

Marlin's Dead Low Voltage Battery (LVB) -- Followed by Stuck in Park

We don't go back to living in caves from time to time for the giggles though either. I really did think that was a joke.

    Adding Seat Tilt?

Couldn't do it for the price they wanted to pay, I suspect.

Mach-E First Edition - First Impressions on 300 mile road trip.

The Plugshare rating is based on the ratio of "charge completed" vs "error" I believe - if you were negative but still logged a completed charge, the text doesn't matter, the score goes up.

Ford Connected Charge Station Stop Sell Order

Webasto SE, the company that makes the charger, is not. Sorry, I didn't get the joke.

Marlin's Dead Low Voltage Battery (LVB) -- Followed by Stuck in Park

Unfortunately I have no interest in driving a fossilmobile, regardless of spec. I sincerely hope dealers don't keep trying to get Mach-E owners into ICE loaners, that will be a quick way to get owners upset about the downgrade.

    RWD vs. AWD

AWD is a hard sell on Mach-E, IMO, because of the low range. The performance is nice, but I would rather have that performance from a larger rear motor and RWD, to improve efficiency. I don't want AWD, I don't need AWD. I only ordered it because you can't get Grabber Blue any other way.

    Salesperson low-to-no knowledge

With how Carvana, etc. are eating the dealers' lunch in the used car market, and how all the EV startups are going direct sale, cannibalizing higher end new car sales, I suspect the dealer model is heading for catastrophe soon anyway.

    Disable PaaK when at home?

Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to add a geofence to disable walk-away unlock and PAAK approach detection in a geographic radius the owner sets.

    Salesperson low-to-no knowledge

This is an extremely common and frustrating thread across all franchised dealer buying experiences I've had. I have known more about every franchised dealer brand vehicle I have bought than the salesman did, and I've literally gone to a different dealer for every vehicle expecting a better...

Bjorn livestream of Mach-E range test

Exactly this. Nobody (I think) is saying Mach-E should be accepting 150 kW at 99% SoC. But to STOP DCFC a 80% and revert to AC speeds while tying up a potentially expensive per-minute charger for over an hour to finish charging, that's ridiculous and unacceptable. Did Ford's tests never take...
