tonight I plugged the car, taking care to notice if anything was loose. It started charging immediately. After five hours it is still looking great.
Thanks for ask the input. Love this forum.
I have the charging scheduled to take advantage of my utility lowest rates from 11pm - 5am. I plugged my car in at 830 pm and my Ford app delays the charging until 11pm. I didn't see anything different than what I normally do.
When I unplugged my car this morning, the light (I call it the...
2023 MME GT - Phoenix AZ. Last night I plugged my car in like I always do. 47% remaining with intent to charge to 95%. This morning I woke to discover the charge did not occur.
I checked my car, connection, charger and even the fuse panel on the house. All were operational.
Any idea...
Recently upgraded my wheels on my 2023 MME GT. Selling the Factory wheels for $500 (set of 4). I am willing to ship at buyers expense.
Wheels have about 8800 miles on them. I purchased the MME used in July and it only have about 1400 miles. Since then I have put about 7400 miles on the...
Just curious about why a flat bed tow truck. When my 2023 went comatose, Ford told me specifically to get a tow truck with lift arm and dollies as they didn’t want the car dragged into a flat bed.
Hmmmm. On my 23 Gt I cannot get the propulsion sound to turn on. When I push the toggle on, it only stays “on” for 2 seconds and then flips itself to off. Anybody know why this happens?
Where does one see where they stand in the queue for the charger?
When I log into the Ford site I cannot find it.
Keep in mind that I purchased my 2023 GT in 2024 from a Ford dealership and despite being a recalled vehicle with 985 miles, it was technically a “pre-owned” vehicle
I have a 2023 that got locked out due to an update draining the 12v battery.
To avoid future lockouts, I plan to keep at least one window open and the frunk unlocked during the next update.
Most likely the update won’t cause any issues; but, if it does, you can still access your car and start...
Love these. What size are you running and where did you find these? Especially with the Pony emblem? I just searched the Ford website and couldn’t find them as a fit for the Mach E.
Sounds like we can learn together. !!! This forum has been the best in helping me learn what I need to learn. It is definitely a new world going electric. Happy to help!!
Correct. There is a bit of a comedy of errors here. The 12v battery is in the Frunk. When the 12v battery is low, but not dead, there is not enough juice for thekeyless entry to open the frunk. Ford recognized this and put in a backup way to access the frunk by being able to "jump start"...
My understanding is that the 12 volt battery powers the computer during the software update.
The 12 volt is also responsible to provide power for locking/unlocking of the doors.
Sometimes the downloading process uses up the 12v battery where it doesn’t have enough juice left to unlock the doors...
Just wanted to share how this got resolved.
12 v battery was too dead to open doors but still alive enough to keep jump start from opening frunk.
Tech had to” force entry “ into car, which I presume is fancy speak for shimming in with locksmith tools.
OTA updates were reset and reinstalled...
Great input. Thank you for sharing. I have contacted Ford and am still waiting for the second tow truck.
Quick question - what did Ford service department actually do to fix your car?
Update - Ford says the MME must be towed to dealer to get reset. Tow truck driver arrived. Said he couldn't tow it because he has a flatbed. He told me to call Ford and request a different tow truck with Wheel Lift and Dolly. On the phone now with Ford.
Based on the craziness of this...
2023 GT AWD - let Ford do Automatic updates last night. This morning I am totally locked out of the car. Ford Pass app says I have to get towed. Anybody else have similar experience? What was the solution?
