2023 MME GT - Phoenix AZ. Last night I plugged my car in like I always do. 47% remaining with intent to charge to 95%. This morning I woke to discover the charge did not occur.

I checked my car, connection, charger and even the fuse panel on the house. All were operational.

Any idea why my car did not charge? It was parked outside, but the overnight low was 37 degrees, so not sure if that had an issue. (for reference, last week our over night low was 30 degrees and had no problem charging).

Seems like a setting/software issue. What am I missing?

Was the cable seated all the way? What happened when you unplugged and plugged back in? Did you verify that charging started when you plugged in last night?

I have the charging scheduled to take advantage of my utility lowest rates from 11pm - 5am. I plugged my car in at 830 pm and my Ford app delays the charging until 11pm. I didn't see anything different than what I normally do.

When I unplugged my car this morning, the light (I call it the Pie Light because it shows the percent charged) near the charge plug showed 47%, which was the first time I realized I had not charged. Everything seemed to be plugged in and connected - but perhaps - it wasn't.

As I type this, I am seeing a great enhancement for the Ford Pass - Maybe the app could notify/text each night asking, "Your car is at 47%. You are currently not plugged in. Do you want to charge?" as a reminder to check to see if your are adequately plugged in.

Odds are a confict/bug in the scheduling.
For troubleshooting purposes I would turn all scheduling off and try a dumb charging session first. Just to confirm that both the Mach-E and the EVSE are functioning properly.
I agree. Only set the schedule in your car. Life will a lot simpler that way.

My 23.5 in Alabama did same, except, also shows stop car now warning on dash (didn’t last night when plugged in for the freezing temp) but the app says charged to the preset 70%, cabin warmed and battery conditioned for departure ??‍♂

I've had this happen a few times over the years, it's almost always because I didn't cleanly get the plug into the port. These days, if I don't feel like I plugged it in cleanly or I had to jiggle and push on it to get it to seat, I just unplug it and replug it back in and haven't seen it happen since I started doing that.

After temperatures were above freezing, went out and tried the car, no indication I had ever had warning lights and HVB showed 69% agreeing with the app and clearly having charged last night. Pulled out frunk and disconnected 12v. Put it on the trickle charge at 2amp and it was fully charged in about an hour. Put a tester on it and it tested well as you would expect an 18 month old battery. Charged it up, closed it up and drove around the block and plugged car in again for tonight’s freezing temps. We’ll see what happens tomorrow when it prepares for departure ?‍♂

What time does you car think it is? I had a similar problem of not charging at the right time. Turned out to be that the clock was off by 12 hours. So it wasn't charging during off-peak times...

tonight I plugged the car, taking care to notice if anything was loose. It started charging immediately. After five hours it is still looking great.
Thanks for ask the input. Love this forum.

did you make sure that fordpass showed your car as being at your designated charging location? This happened to me one time, for some reason fordpass still had my car being some random place on the road and not my house.

Also make sure the locking trigger lever is fully engaged IE down on your cord plug. Mine was stuck in the up position causing issues. Frozen used WD-40 to repel water and fix.

Don't forget the App is not actually controlling the charging schedule - ultimately all it does is magically pass your instructions to the car via Ford's APIs. The issue I've had in the past is sometimes those instructions don't actually get passed to the car, so as a final troubleshooting step it's a good idea to look at what the car actually thinks the schedule is, from within SYNC.

In the past I've seen discrepancies between the App settings and the car's settings ....
