I'll check this out tomorrow to see if the same pattern occurs here - thanks for sharing this.

For the last week, I've had to manually wake my car up after charging was scheduled to start but didn't. I only got it in April and the schedule had been perfect until last week. It now seems to go to sleep instantly when I park and goes into a state where it doesn't realize that the scheduled charge start time has arrived, if that makes sense. I noticed that when I go down to manually start it (while plugged in), the clock displays the previous time that I parked it for about 10-15 seconds while everything boots - then, once the time updates on the main display, I hear the click of my chargepoint and it begins charging once it finally realizes that it's within the charge schedule. Really frustrating and I can't seem to figure out the rhyme or reason - I just park it, lock it and plug in, same as I always have. I don't have a schedule set on my chargepoint, I'm in the "let the car handle the charging schedule" camp (so far at least).
Good luck. Let us know what you discover. The more info the better. I have to admit, I totally expected my charge schedule to work every time. Every other EV that my family has owned has followed the charge schedule without fail. That really should be in the EV 101 book.

The MME is the only EV that I am aware of that can't handle that simple task on a consistent basis without fail. Seriously......3 Focus Electrics, 1 C-Max Energi, 1 Wrangler 4xe and 1 Fiat 500e......all know how to tell time.

I'll join the list of failed overnight home charging. Have not had a problem in the past. Charged overnight the day before. Last night it did not charge. Occasional missed charging is more problematic that a consistent issue that you can work around.

Dang. I too have problems with the schedule system for charging.
My setup is to start at 6am, stop @ 80% SOC. Pretty simple. Both the car and FordPass show this setup.
I plug my charger (JuiceBox) into the car around 10pm. Next morning I check if charging started at 6am. Nope. So I 'manually' start charging. It does stop charging at 80% SOC however.
My car is 1 month old, less than 1,000 miles. You would think a basic function, like charging, would work. Frustrating.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Hi, Greg! This doesn't sound like something you want to happen to your Mach-E. Will you send us a message with your VIN and Ford dealer, I can look into this for you.

I now have new twist on this issue.
Monday I woke up to 100% charged (as expected)
Tuesday I woke up to 92% charged (100% was the target)
This morning I woke up to 72% charged (100% was the target)
Tomorrow will be fun.....

I have recently seen something similar. Starting on Wednesday, I plugged into a public L2 charger and got the Plugged In Not Charging status on the app. The car charged successfully that night on my home charger.

On Friday I successfully used another public L2 charger, but on Friday night at home the car only charged from 62% to 69% (target is 80%). This premature termination has never happened before.

Yesterday I plugged into two different public L2 chargers and neither worked: the charge port indicator lamp never changed to blue, the app said “Plugged In Not Charging”, and the dashboard said “Charge Station Not Detected.” A Chevy Bolt pulled up and successfully started charging, so the issue is not with the EVSE.

When I returned home, the car also did not recognize my home charger. I just unplugged and re-plugged (16 hours after my initial plug-in) but still not detected.

So now I have a $55,000, 2-ton brick in my driveway with 30% charge.

I received the Power-Up to resolve the recall 22S41 on August 12. Not sure if this could be related.

An update: after spending AN HOUR with Ford online chat, I got this response:

We are unable to assist in aftermarket items such as this charger.
I would also recommend for you to reach out to the manfacturer of this third part charger and seller
I will add that I further tested my car with the Ford mobile charger from my 110 V wall outlet. Same scenario: Mobile charger shows solid blue (has power). Charge port indicator does not go on; does not turn blue or white. FordPass app shows Plugged In Not Charging. vehicle dash shows Charge Station Not Detected.

If your vehicles still has it's warranty in effect, then take it to the dealership and see if it charges there. If you don't have enough charge to get there then Ford's Roadside Assistance will tow it there for you.

Thanks @SnBGC !

I did take it to Casco Bay Ford in Maine who, despite being full on appointments for the next two weeks, spent all day diagnosing the problem (including with engineers from Ford) and they identified the charge port as the problem. The part is being overnighted and hopefully it will be resolved tomorrow!

I’ll keep you posted.

Only twice did my car not charge as requested.

once when I had both the car and the EVSe set to start at TOU time. Juicebox instructions say not to have both car and EVSE set, only one should be. I deleted on the juicebox and have time set on MME.

the other time, I contacted a juicebox to determine why car wouldn’t charge properly. Turned out they were having problems with my utility company. My local utility offered a $450 discount to buy an EVSE they them but they controlled electricty to the box but also guaranteed to have car filled by the time I set in the EVSE app

since then no problems.

Took an extra day to get the part, but they completed the install in a few hours and my car is successfully charging in my driveway! Thanks, Casco Bay Ford!

Wow. 5 whole weeks in a row where the car charged correctly every night! I think that might be a record! I guess Darren was right.....my car DOES get better over time! Progress. ?

Old streak ended. New one starts tomorrow (hopefully).

A few weeks ago I noticed that the Navigation software that came with my MACH-E indicated that my HOME location actually had GPS coordinates about 21 miles west of my house (even though the street address was correct). I deleted the HOME location from the Navigation application and created a new HOME location with the correct GPS coordinates.

On September 14th I received a notice that my MACH-E had received a “Ford Power-Up Software Update”.

Ever since these two events I have been able to successfully use the “Charge Location” feature on the vehicle. It is difficult for me to determine which one of these two changes actually fixed the problem.

I have had the GPS issue occur twice now. Restarting Sync4 resolves the issue.
