2024 failed to charge last night

The problem was that the first time I used the charger I set it up with Autel and apparently it was set to charge. When I plugged it in the next time I didn’t realize that I had to start the charger again. In fact every time I plug it in I need to “Start” the charger with my phone. Which is a minor pain in the ass but I can deal. A pain only because I must have my phone to work the charger. Seems like a button on the charger would be simpler, since I am using it as a dumb charger.

Mine just started doing this. For over 18mos, it worked flawlessly, now I have to start Autel after I plug the car in. Pain in the ass. Looking for a solution. I am going to update the firmware and see if that helps.

I had a problem where my phone wasn’t controlling the Autel box. When I tried to connect I got a message that another phone was controlling it. After a lot of screwing around I got ahold of Autel customer support. It was apparently an update that caused the problem. Long story short, they got me hooked back up but all my history was erased.

Ok, after a few suggestions I went into the Autel settings and a charging plan was created and in effect. I have deleted it so it works as a “dumb” charger. We will see tonight if the handshake between the car and chargers works at 2:00am!

Ok, we now have auto charging back again. Thanks to all on the thread who posted. This helped me figure out what happened.
