Well... If you don't want to "move on" you could always choose the alternative and dwell on your frustrations and argue with anybody who responds to your post.
How's that working out for you?
Ps... Instead of arguing with people about how much it would cost to buy the car from out of state and...
I agree it wasn't exactly smart, but they did it much to my surprise because so many people canceled their reservations when Rivian raised prices without warning. No price protection was offered, but due to overwhelming complaints and cancellations they backtracked within days and decided to...
And those people won't be taking delivery any time soon. 2023 will be spent fulfilling orders placed over a year ago.
My post specifically addressed people taking delivery in 2023.
There are way too many R1S reservations over the last few years to fulfill them all in 2023. People ordering at...
I see what you are saying... But that rational should be viewed in the context that the vast majority of people who will take delivery in the next 12 months or more are locked in to the the price I got. It's not like I'm in the minority to get the price. It's the going rate for almost all...
I agree all EVs are trending up in price... Which is why is super helpful when companies lock you in at the original price once you place a deposit. Rivian and Tesla do this or have done this in some for or another.
Many of us are on waiting list for multiple EVs, so it makes a big difference...
Because Rivian is still selling at the old price to anybody who expressed interest. The vast majority of R1S reservation holders can still buy at the old price. That price is locked as long as needed. If ford.had offered this option, then you would have a point... But they didn't.
Ford didn't...
You don't understand Rivian pricing. Every R1 is sold for exactly MSRP.
You are googling and getting numbers about 2nd hand R1 vehicles that are either sold private party or after trading in to a dealership. They are all sold for the same price directly by Rivian when new. I markups.
No new...
- Your quotes price of $127k includes people buying them second hand. Rivian does not sell nay vehicles for that price.
- The price increase in March 2022 is for new orders. Sure... You can choose to focus on that price, or you can do the rational thing and focus on the prices most people are...
No it's not... I have one ordered for $79k... And it's not the base. It's the adventure model with upgraded paint.and some options.
They Lyriq comes fully equipped for that price.
So does the Rivian.
At this point you just seem determined to not believe facts.
Except that's not true. Take a look at the prices.
A Mach E GTPE is $76k.
Lyriq AWD is $64k.
A very well equipped quad motor R1S large battery with about 320 mile range is only $79k.
The Macan EV is predicted to start in the $70k-$80k range.
The only vehicle I listed starting above $80 is the...
I think Ford can only raise prices so much before people realize they can get more luxurious or higher performing vehicles for the same price or not much more.
Soon the Mach E will be competing with vehicles like the BMX iX50, Upcoming Porsche Macan EV, Lyriq, Rivian R1S, and others.
I don't know. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people on this forum who have Rivian preorders which are price protected if ordered prior to March 31st 2022.
Those of use who hadn't made up our minds now have a huge incentive to buy the Rivian over most other EVs.
Top of the line Mache e...
I wish. Many people on this forum have a tax liability far greater than $15k every year. It has nothing to due with how much you owe at the end of the year. You can be owed a refund at the end of the year and still take the $7500 rebate to increase the size of your refund.
My tax liability is...
Efficiency in the city is identical at 97 MPGe. Efficiency on the highway is nearly identical with the MME getting 84 MPGe vs the Lyriq's 82 MPGe.
That is such a tiny difference, I'm not even sure it's worth noting really, although any subtle differences are likely due to the larger weight and...
I'm a scientist through and through, and I really support more people buying EVs, but I do think you are overestimating the impact of electrifying transportation.
Can you find any studies that suggest how much of an effect transitioning to all electric vehicles would have on climate change? I...
It has nothing to do with how much you owe at tax time and everything to do with how much taxes you pay/owe total for the entire year. Some people owe more money at tax time. Some people have a refund coming back. Both can be eligible for the full $7,500.
That's not accurate... And I have done...
You really should give honest ratings on the survey. Give explanations to explain why they sucked.
If people keep getting pressured int this BS of giving them 5s, it reinforces this behavior.
This same dealer will try to screw over the next customer if you don't do your part to make them...
