Yeah my wife was really stressed out. I was picturing getting loaded onto a tow truck bed for a 5 mile drop off at the house. Or stopping at a random house and asking to plug in for an hour with my portable 110. “Do you have any single-malt?”
iI was talking with a Ford truck EV guy while...
Probably around 8-10 miles it started getting pretty frantic with frequent messages about low battery charge, go somewhere and plug it in immediately. I never trust the GOM of course having used this car for three years. But through a variety of circumstances which I won’t go into here I was...
This is probably not a good idea, but we did make it into our garage about 2 minutes after this message appeared. Bad planning….120 mile trip with 150 on GOM.
Everyone can manage what they view and don’t view. So you have control over whether or not you read redundant posts. If you don’t like it, don’t read it.
There is another plausible explanation for this. Likely one of the first things the update process does is to check the current state of the hardware and software. If it finds anything along the way that indicates a problem or indeterminate state it stops the process and, to be 100% safe...
Probably until either I take that dirt nap or the car dies. If I was a few decades younger I would probably get rid of it when we have multiple options for 500 mile range (in the worst conditions) EVs that charge in 15 minutes.
Love this car, unless I’m on a long road trip with poor charging...
And for you folks who don’t work for Ford. Have you ever seen an updated post from someone who received a message like this from Ford and actually got help and a resolution. Not saying it hasn’t happened, but I haven’t seen one in my 2.5 years on this forum,
Hey Ford Motor Company- what am I? Chopped liver? I’m the OP on this issue, yet you volunteer to help someone else pretty far down the chain - and not moi?
Same here. After having to wait for two months to get my MME fixed from a fender bender I’m unwilling to turn my vehicle parking over to Fords software and sensors. Besides, the Mustang is such a macho car - what owner is going to let the car do that job for them?
My chargers blue light is steady on, but only getting about half the charge rate (car and FordPass say the same). So I’m taking the charger and vehicle to the dealer. Not sure they have a 240 V circuit and receptacle to test it though. Anyway that will be a starting point.
I have my car...
At some point in the last 6 weeks or so, probably after an OTA update, I must press these buttons twice to open the doors. Is this a known issue, and if so, is there a fix?
I’m taking my car in for charging issues and I’ll have them check it out, but often times they are behind the curve on...
