I've had my car charge at 106kW all the way up to 65% SOC and 90kW up to 80%. These curves seem really temperature dependent.
Looking at my charge log, I've done at EA stations:
43% in 23 minutes (20%->63%) 98kWh average
33% in 17 minutes (30%->63%) 102kWh average
63% in 37 minutes (16%->79%)...
Macan S was pretty awesome, I liked it a lot more than the Mercedes. Car feels really traditional, I also have a 911 so it reminded me a lot of my 911 which I love, the Macan S also definitely handles slightly better than the MachE. The MachE though has much more spacious cabin, both in the...
Something that was not advertised, the FE cars with black interior have an ALL black interior. Premium edition cars with black interior still have white a-pillars/sun visors. I personally felt the all black interior, red stitching, and red calipers match nicely with my red exterior. I...
Whose complaining? I’m fine with the 270 range the car has. I’m disagreeing with SteelMach who thinks 200miles range is fine.
arriving with 5% is too risky if you need to run the heat and it’s exceptionally windy, your not gonna have a fun time.
you do you, but when I’m traveling to a destination/hotel that doesn’t have charging infrastructure, I’d prefer to arrive with something much higher than 5% SOC. I have a lot of day trip destinations that are between 80-120 miles each way. Last thing I need is to be worried that my car is 100%...
It sounds like bad shocks to me. Any bounce of the car is usually related to the shocks not absorbing the motion and dissipating it. The only place to get that fixed is at the dealership as they’d need to replace the shocks. It might also be a function of where you live... here in CA on our...
I got around 134kw for the first 40% of my charge the other day. It ended up tapering off to around 80kW until it hit 80%, then I stopped and continued my trip.
I did a 203mile trip with my FE the other day and ended up with 36miles of range left. I was going between 80-75mph. I ran the eheat for about 33% of the trip.
I don’t, I won’t be fully happy until we hit 400 mile range with EVs. As it stands from where I live there are a lot of road trip destinations that I’d love to be able to do in one shot with a buffer at the end. 300 mile range doesn’t cut it. Arriving with 5% battery to a destination and then...
I test drove a bunch of cars. ID4 was perky up to 40mph but fell off pretty fast. The entertainment system wasn’t great and was super laggy in the demo unit I drove, I also really didn’t like the sterile feeling cabin or the haptic wheel controls. Model Y is nice, but I like the MachE more...
Did a road trip today for 203miles with my FE and got 2.7mi/kWh. It was raining and relatively chilly and I was also driving at 75-80mph. Ended the trip with 36 miles of range left (total of 239miles). Was a fun trip. Drove from the Bay Area to pismo beach.
P&C worked fine, I was able to connect all three times to the EA chargers. Charging rates where low though and the last two times I had charging faults which I don’t think where related to P&C.
