  1. Original 2021 Owners - Check In

2021 Job 1 original owner here with 85k miles and still loving it! Almost no noticeable loss in range and just a few minor issues. Had the front axles and driver window motor replaced under extended warranty. The heater is acting up now so I’m pretty sure that we’ll take that it for service...
  2. Second batch of NACS adapters are shipping out

Order 4572 shipped last night and will be here today just in time for a road trip!
  3. After most recent software recall/update: MME Charges fine everywhere else but home.

I have a '21 as well and also had the charge port replaced for the exact same reason about a year ago. For me, the resistance would only be great enough to trip the thermal protection when charging above 32A. Anything below that and it was fine. I was able to confirm this myself by using an...
  4. Car Randomly Stops Charging

My charging would stop around the same time each charging session as well but it still was a fault charge port in the car. It's not so much that the charge port is actually getting hot, there's a faulty temperature sensor that is thinking it is getting too hot and shuts down the charging.
  5. Car Randomly Stops Charging

That is absolutely covered under warranty, this is the exact same problem I had (bad temp sensor) and they replaced my port and harness under warranty. Be aware that replacing the port and harness is a pretty big project and a good chunk of the car needs to be disassembled. Take pictures of...
  6. Car Randomly Stops Charging

There's really no way to test it at home that I know of. In order for Ford to even think about a warranty replacement they need to replicate the issue first and then contact Ford Engineering to get their input. Apparently the replacement of the charge port includes the internal cables that go...
  7. Car Randomly Stops Charging

I'm having a hard time finding my old Car Scanner files but I do remember my two HV Coupler temperatures being wildly different as well. My assumption was that they, like you said, measure the temperature of both pins on the car charge port. Ford didn't give me a ton of information but they...
  8. Car Randomly Stops Charging

I think he's looking at a post of mine from last year. It turns out that, in my case, the temperature wasn't really getting that high in the charge port. There was a faulty temperature sensor that was reporting temperatures much higher than were actually present and causing the charging...
  9. Car Randomly Stops Charging

I think it can get pretty hot. I'll post a graph of mine charging at 48A that eventually got too hot at around 175F. At 32A it was hitting about 130F. However, this was the data before I had the charge port replaced under warranty. I'll try and get recent data to see if it's still that high.
  10. Car Randomly Stops Charging

I'm pretty confident you're having the same issue I did, especially if you can charge successfully at 32A. You should definitely take it into Ford to have them look at it. They'll have to keep it for some time to diagnose but they should be able to figure out what is going on
  11. Car Randomly Stops Charging

I will check my records when I get back, but it honestly should be covered under the 8yr/100K HV battery and electronics warranty. If you're able, try lowering the charge amperage on your EVSE and see if the problem goes away. Mine would only pop up when charging above 40A.
  12. Car Randomly Stops Charging

This does sound exactly like the same issue I had. The charge fault would only occur for me when I was charging at high amperage (48A) and would go away If I cranked it down to 32A or used another level 2 charger at a lower amperage. If the issue goes away when charging at a lower amperage it...
  13. Car Randomly Stops Charging

I just thought that I would let you know that I had the exact same issue with the same OBD code as you except mine was with a Chargepoint homeflex. In short, the “overheating” issue was due to a faulty temperature sensor not in the EVSE plug, but rather in the charge port itself on the car...
  14. Pixel 7 Pro won't connect as PAAK?

I also have a Pixel 7 Pro and remember that Sync did give me a warning that this phone may not work perfectly just yet. However, I was able to add it just fine and the PAAK works pretty consistently for me. I was having issues with it connecting wired Android Auto, but that was only one time...
  15. Received gift from Ford: 3 years of TripleCARE -- TireCARE, DentCARE, and WindshieldCARE

If this is going out to all "early adopters" (Nov20 build) I wonder what, if anything, they'll do for those of us who, like me, bought the tripleCARE already? The PDR has already come in handy twice when careless strangers dinged two doors in the parking lot.
  16. Need help collecting data on HV AC Charger Coupler Temperature

The first choice (CSV) should be good, it'll probably be a .txt file but I can convert it. This is really interesting for me. Everyone else is showing the same thing as your data, temperature gets to about 185 degrees without fault. For some reason, when mine hits the 170/175 degree range it...
  17. Need help collecting data on HV AC Charger Coupler Temperature

I'm looking for the HV AC Charger Coupler Temperature. If you wouldn't mind, I'd also be interested in the entire exported data log to look at other variables as well. You could message it to me directly if you're comfortable with it, if not I understand.
  18. Need help collecting data on HV AC Charger Coupler Temperature

Is your car an early build like mine is (2/21)? Based on the raw data another member here sent me it doesn't seem like it is an over heating problem as his AC Coupler temps are higher than mine without faults. I'm wondering though, if there is an issue in the module that manages the internal...
  19. Need help collecting data on HV AC Charger Coupler Temperature

Ok, this is really interesting and I appreciate you taking the time to do this. It does, however, disprove my hypothesis that the charge coupler is getting to hot as your temperatures seem to exceed mine at the time it shuts off. Time to go back to the drawing board!
