OK, so today I checked the car again for updates before getting on my way to work. All up to date, it said. Not even 5 minutes on the road later, the ”upload ready to install” icon showed up and when I got to work, I was able to have it install 3.6.1.
After waiting for months and finally...
My Ford App has been telling me since December that the 3.6.1 update has been scheduled. My car, however, thinks it is up-to-date (I am not sure how to check which version it is on). I have automatic updates configured (daily @ 1:00 am) and I have connected my car to my home WiFi.
What am I...
OK, I should have googled this before posting, but it’s called a windshield washer check valve and has apparently been an issue in other Ford models, especially in regions where it gets cold. Folks just drill it out and move on with their lives… wondering if the only drawback is that the nozzles...
My windshield fluid nozzles recently started showing symptoms of an enlarged prostate, producing but a mere trickle of washer fluid that barely hit the bottom of the windshield. After taking off all the plastic panels and even removing the frunk, I was finally able to narrow it down to what...

I am with you right there. I cannot explain my observations.
I need to double-check, but I believe some of these have fuses in place and I have no way of knowing whether any of them are wired to accessories downstream or not.
The first part is true but irrelevant. With all the fuse boxes I...
I didn't open the fuse panel until I had established that merely disconnecting the power to the camera cured the problem I was seeing. I did this several times in different "configurations" (as originally mounted, cables pulled out of the mirror box, camera dropped to the dash, camera dropped...
I updated my post to mention that I had eliminated that possibility as well.
How do you think switching the fuse might have eliminated BT interference though?
I think the N4 might be drawing quite a bit of power since it is set up for 3 cameras. What still has me a bit puzzled though is that pulling fuse #4 does not disable the FOB sensors.
Heya and thank you for the excellent tutorial, @MachDoc ! Just adding a link to a longer write-up of my own experience here for others that might run into a similar issue (very limited FOB range and reliability) after installing their gizmos. I ended up using fuse #24 (25 A) which eliminated...
Like a few of you, I couldn't wait to install a dash cam the first weekend I had my shiny pon-e in the driveway. Following the excellent tutorial by @MachDoc , I tapped into fuse #4 (see image below, "borrowed" from that post) for a constant-on installation of a Vantrue N4, which worked like a...
Not sure what the "trip number" on palsapp means exactly, but it might be a single car heading for a specific station eventually. ?‍♂️
If you're not finding your VIN there though, it's still on the way to MO from MX.
Mine was delivered at that ramp yesterday from KC. My estimated arrival time frame in SoCal is 12/20/21 - 01/06/22. Here are the other VINs on the same trip:

It’s shipped!!
FWIW - Encinitas Ford, my dealership, assured me that they will hold the car for me if it arrives early while I am on Christmas holiday. Maybe there are still decent car dealerships around!?
