That was my thought as well. In the past after certain OTA updates when a camera had to recalibrate itself it gave a warning on the gauge cluster that the certain function is unavailable. This isn't giving any warning messages at all.

With my auto high beams, it tends to be overly sensitive and turn off from street sign reflections and stop lights. That mixed in with the fact you have to be going a minimum speed (25 or 30mph I believe?) for it to even work is annoying so I just use manual high beams.

Mine sure doesn't. It instantly goes from BC hands free to normal lane keep assist telling me to put my hands on the wheel (again with no audible alert) A loud alert would be great but even a little cluster alert telling me an unmapped section is coming up would be extremely helpful

My biggest issue with BC is how it disengages out of nowhere with no audible warning. Seems like a REALLY unsafe way to do things... I'm paying attention to the road. Don't give me a quick little message in my gauge cluster. Just give me a little audible cue a couple seconds before disengaging.
