    Road tar

So I managed to unknowingly splash my way through some wet road tar/oil on my way home from work one day, and Iā€™ve got a bunch of hardened black tar splash marks hardened on the side of my car. Any tips on getting it off?

Stop Safely Now (HVBJB): Mach-E Owners Biggest Fear - Facts and Info Thread

In case anyone is interested, they needed to perform a BECM reset to make the car happy. Figured Iā€™d leave this here in case itā€™s easier to find for the next person to get a new HVBJB. :)

Stop Safely Now (HVBJB): Mach-E Owners Biggest Fear - Facts and Info Thread

It turns out they were able to get their questions answered quickly by Ford, fixed the codes and the car is now ready to go. Looking forward to driving it again after a week of driving my suburban.

Stop Safely Now (HVBJB): Mach-E Owners Biggest Fear - Facts and Info Thread

Apparently my HVBJB is replaced, but my car doesnā€™t want to clear its error codes, so the dealer is having to reach out to Ford engineering for help. With the full knowledge that the answer is probably back in the last 147 pages of this thread, and that the forum search kinda sucks for finding...

Stop Safely Now (HVBJB): Mach-E Owners Biggest Fear - Facts and Info Thread

I suspect Iā€™m a new member of the HVBJB club. Was driving back from SF this afternoon and got the SVS message, the little orange wrench, and the serious power limiting turned on. Dealerā€™s service desk was closed by the time I got home, so Iā€™ll embark on the process of getting this diagnosed and...

    “Drive Mode not available”

Itā€™s happening to me an awful lot too, and more frequently since the latest round of updates. Today it dropped three times in a 3 mile drive back from the store. Oddly, I was able to switch back into whisper without having to come to a complete stop the way I had to the last time these...

SF Bay Area dealer service - recommendations?

Walnut Creek Ford has been fantastic for me. 15k miles in, visited for service and the odd fix. They do good work, look out for your interests, and they donā€™t blow smoke.

Does this Glass Acoustic and have IRR???

ā€¦of course, they seem to have failed to reconnect the windshield washer hoses (big flood of washer fluid under the car instead of on the windshield as desiredā€¦). Anyone got tips on how to get in there to reconnect them?

Does this Glass Acoustic and have IRR???

FWIW, in the California Bay Area, Safeliteā€™s default replacement windshield for my car is also OEM as of today. They did a good job replacing it in my driveway too. Must be that no cheaper alternative windshields are available yet. :)

    “Drive Mode not available”

I just got the same thing today. Dropped from whisper to something that looked like engage (partial regen, driverā€™s screen looked like engage), but when I tried to go back to whisper, the drive mode selection screen gave a graphic that looked like it was partway between mode selections, and it...

All I Want for Christmas is (improvements to my MME)...

The ability to separately tune the suspension dampening on the GTPE without changing the throttle response and off-throttle regen. I want whisper mode throttle and unbridled suspension tuning. šŸ§

Has Anyone Used Snow Cables on their MME?

When I made my plans to buy my MME, I asked myself the same question and settled on tire socks like these: https://autosock.us/snow-socks-guide/ That said, I havenā€™t tried driving it to Tahoe in the wintertime yet, so Iā€™ve held off buying the socks. Iā€™d probably just take the suburban. šŸ˜‰

Suspension Fault Detected and other issues

Took my GTPE to Walnut Creek Ford. They found evidence of the code being thrown, but didnā€™t find anything else wrong. They did a few module updates, but none related to the VDM. I guess Iā€™ll hope the error doesnā€™t get thrown again. Itā€™s starting to cool off out here in sunny CA, so maybe Iā€™ll...

Suspension Fault Detected and other issues

Fair enough. Anyone had this issue fixed by a dealer in the Bay Area (of California) before, so I can take it to folks who know the score? I bought mine from a dealer across the county, and I doubt my local dealer has had enough Mach Eā€™s run through for them to have seen this before.

Suspension Fault Detected and other issues

I guess this is as good a thread as any to report that my GTPE just threw the ā€œDriver selectable suspension fault Service requiredā€, speed limited to 80 mph errors for three or four starts today, before mysteriously going back to normal this evening. Was a bit disconcerting having to drive in...

Experience using Livermore Ford for 10,000 mile service?

Has anyone gone to Livermore Ford for their 10k service? If so, any recommendations/warnings? :-) I actually live in Livermore, so theyā€™d be the most convenient, but if anyone else has had a great experience at another Bay Area dealer, Iā€™d be interested in hearing.

Zero Warning... the recall software update did not work! SECOND HVBJB FAILURE. Stop Safely Now my sequel.

So what did the software update actually change? I had thought it gave you more of a chance to drive (or at least get off the highway) than it did previously.
