I suspect Iām a new member of the HVBJB club. Was driving back from SF this afternoon and got the SVS message, the little orange wrench, and the serious power limiting turned on. Dealerās service desk was closed by the time I got home, so Iāll embark on the process of getting this diagnosed and...
Itās happening to me an awful lot too, and more frequently since the latest round of updates. Today it dropped three times in a 3 mile drive back from the store. Oddly, I was able to switch back into whisper without having to come to a complete stop the way I had to the last time these...
Walnut Creek Ford has been fantastic for me. 15k miles in, visited for service and the odd fix. They do good work, look out for your interests, and they donāt blow smoke.
ā¦of course, they seem to have failed to reconnect the windshield washer hoses (big flood of washer fluid under the car instead of on the windshield as desiredā¦). Anyone got tips on how to get in there to reconnect them?
FWIW, in the California Bay Area, Safeliteās default replacement windshield for my car is also OEM as of today. They did a good job replacing it in my driveway too. Must be that no cheaper alternative windshields are available yet. :)
I just got the same thing today. Dropped from whisper to something that looked like engage (partial regen, driverās screen looked like engage), but when I tried to go back to whisper, the drive mode selection screen gave a graphic that looked like it was partway between mode selections, and it...
The ability to separately tune the suspension dampening on the GTPE without changing the throttle response and off-throttle regen. I want whisper mode throttle and unbridled suspension tuning. ?
When I made my plans to buy my MME, I asked myself the same question and settled on tire socks like these:
https://autosock.us/snow-socks-guide/
That said, I havenāt tried driving it to Tahoe in the wintertime yet, so Iāve held off buying the socks. Iād probably just take the suburban. ?
Took my GTPE to Walnut Creek Ford. They found evidence of the code being thrown, but didnāt find anything else wrong. They did a few module updates, but none related to the VDM. I guess Iāll hope the error doesnāt get thrown again. Itās starting to cool off out here in sunny CA, so maybe Iāll...
Fair enough. Anyone had this issue fixed by a dealer in the Bay Area (of California) before, so I can take it to folks who know the score? I bought mine from a dealer across the county, and I doubt my local dealer has had enough Mach Eās run through for them to have seen this before.
I guess this is as good a thread as any to report that my GTPE just threw the āDriver selectable suspension fault Service requiredā, speed limited to 80 mph errors for three or four starts today, before mysteriously going back to normal this evening. Was a bit disconcerting having to drive in...
Has anyone gone to Livermore Ford for their 10k service? If so, any recommendations/warnings? :-)
I actually live in Livermore, so theyād be the most convenient, but if anyone else has had a great experience at another Bay Area dealer, Iād be interested in hearing.
So what did the software update actually change? I had thought it gave you more of a chance to drive (or at least get off the highway) than it did previously.
The thing to keep in mind about the recall software is that it just gives you a chance to keep driving, itās not a guarantee. If the HVBJB fails closed (while youāre driving) the software can allow you to keep driving. If it fails open (while youāre parked and the car is off), thereās nothing...
OT, but itās because a lot of older motorcycle engines are air cooled, and would overheat if they dropped from highway speeds to a stop in your typical day to day CA gridlock. Theyāre allowed to lane-split because of that history.
Kinda like the problem weāre having now. Maybe if we add an...
We just need to make sure itās someone with an updated relay, or else theyāll likely fall victim to the pass of fail too. ? *
I donāt want to read about a line of failed MME GTās on the side of the I-5 in the morning paper.
* itās a trap!
My MME wasnāt part of the roof recall, so any kinks in the washer line may have been factory original. It never happened until after I used the rear washer, and that took me six months to get around to trying, so I wonder if the bubbling sounds are simply latent for more people?
Though on...
