  1. Stop Safely Now (HVBJB): Mach-E Owners Biggest Fear - Facts and Info Thread

I suspect I’m a new member of the HVBJB club. Was driving back from SF this afternoon and got the SVS message, the little orange wrench, and the serious power limiting turned on. Dealer’s service desk was closed by the time I got home, so I’ll embark on the process of getting this diagnosed and...
  2. “Drive Mode not available”

It’s happening to me an awful lot too, and more frequently since the latest round of updates. Today it dropped three times in a 3 mile drive back from the store. Oddly, I was able to switch back into whisper without having to come to a complete stop the way I had to the last time these...
  3. SF Bay Area dealer service - recommendations?

Walnut Creek Ford has been fantastic for me. 15k miles in, visited for service and the odd fix. They do good work, look out for your interests, and they don’t blow smoke.
  4. Does this Glass Acoustic and have IRR???

…of course, they seem to have failed to reconnect the windshield washer hoses (big flood of washer fluid under the car instead of on the windshield as desired…). Anyone got tips on how to get in there to reconnect them?
  5. Does this Glass Acoustic and have IRR???

FWIW, in the California Bay Area, Safelite’s default replacement windshield for my car is also OEM as of today. They did a good job replacing it in my driveway too. Must be that no cheaper alternative windshields are available yet. :)
  6. “Drive Mode not available”

I just got the same thing today. Dropped from whisper to something that looked like engage (partial regen, driver’s screen looked like engage), but when I tried to go back to whisper, the drive mode selection screen gave a graphic that looked like it was partway between mode selections, and it...
  7. All I Want for Christmas is (improvements to my MME)...

The ability to separately tune the suspension dampening on the GTPE without changing the throttle response and off-throttle regen. I want whisper mode throttle and unbridled suspension tuning. ?
  8. Has Anyone Used Snow Cables on their MME?

When I made my plans to buy my MME, I asked myself the same question and settled on tire socks like these: https://autosock.us/snow-socks-guide/ That said, I haven’t tried driving it to Tahoe in the wintertime yet, so I’ve held off buying the socks. I’d probably just take the suburban. ?
  9. Suspension Fault Detected and other issues

Took my GTPE to Walnut Creek Ford. They found evidence of the code being thrown, but didn’t find anything else wrong. They did a few module updates, but none related to the VDM. I guess I’ll hope the error doesn’t get thrown again. It’s starting to cool off out here in sunny CA, so maybe I’ll...
  10. Suspension Fault Detected and other issues

    I believe it’s Dec, 2021.
  11. Suspension Fault Detected and other issues

Fair enough. Anyone had this issue fixed by a dealer in the Bay Area (of California) before, so I can take it to folks who know the score? I bought mine from a dealer across the county, and I doubt my local dealer has had enough Mach E’s run through for them to have seen this before.
  12. Suspension Fault Detected and other issues

I guess this is as good a thread as any to report that my GTPE just threw the ā€œDriver selectable suspension fault Service requiredā€, speed limited to 80 mph errors for three or four starts today, before mysteriously going back to normal this evening. Was a bit disconcerting having to drive in...
  13. Experience using Livermore Ford for 10,000 mile service?

Has anyone gone to Livermore Ford for their 10k service? If so, any recommendations/warnings? :-) I actually live in Livermore, so they’d be the most convenient, but if anyone else has had a great experience at another Bay Area dealer, I’d be interested in hearing.
  14. Zero Warning... the recall software update did not work! SECOND HVBJB FAILURE. Stop Safely Now my sequel.

So what did the software update actually change? I had thought it gave you more of a chance to drive (or at least get off the highway) than it did previously.
  15. Zero Warning... the recall software update did not work! SECOND HVBJB FAILURE. Stop Safely Now my sequel.

The thing to keep in mind about the recall software is that it just gives you a chance to keep driving, it’s not a guarantee. If the HVBJB fails closed (while you’re driving) the software can allow you to keep driving. If it fails open (while you’re parked and the car is off), there’s nothing...
  16. From SVS to SSN - The Tejon Pass Claims Another Mach-E

OT, but itā€˜s because a lot of older motorcycle engines are air cooled, and would overheat if they dropped from highway speeds to a stop in your typical day to day CA gridlock. They’re allowed to lane-split because of that history. Kinda like the problem we’re having now. Maybe if we add an...
  17. From SVS to SSN - The Tejon Pass Claims Another Mach-E

We just need to make sure it’s someone with an updated relay, or else they’ll likely fall victim to the pass of fail too. ? * I don’t want to read about a line of failed MME GT’s on the side of the I-5 in the morning paper. * it’s a trap!
  18. GPS Showing Wrong Location

Happened to me for the first time last night. Where’s your other thread? ?
  19. Window washer pump doesn’t always work/gurgling sounds in headliner.

My MME wasn’t part of the roof recall, so any kinks in the washer line may have been factory original. It never happened until after I used the rear washer, and that took me six months to get around to trying, so I wonder if the bubbling sounds are simply latent for more people? Though on...
  20. Bay Area End of Summer Meet-Up

I’d be interested in joining too. ?
