GPS Showing Wrong Location

Just picked up my Premium ER AWD last week. Love it! Yesterday the Nav was acting up on a drive home. Since then, location is wrong, showing location I was at yesterday. I did a master reset but still showing same wrong location. Any suggestions?

I had this happen yesterday to me for the first time. I did a sync reset (Down and Next) and once it rebooted it was fine. Might work for you as well.

Master reset? You went all in before trying the easier stuff.

Any other tips to try. My GPS was working fine then it started to just drift off. Now it says my car is in the middle of Lake Huron. I'm about 100 mile south of that. I have done the sync reset (down and right) 3 times. Sync restart but I'm still in the lake.

I had this happen yesterday to me for the first time. I did a sync reset (Down and Next) and once it rebooted it was fine. Might work for you as well.

It works too me. Guys, please try sync reset first(steering wheel right side volume down + next play list press more than 5 sec) and try master reset because I did master reset first, it is too much to set up again.. not only me but my wife either..

Mine does this all to often. The reset will fix it then a few days later it happens again.
I have another thread on this, but no one has a good long-term fix.

It happened to me the other day as well. Was driving south on i-35 and GPS showed me on the access road so Blue Cruise wasn't engaging. I did a sync reset and when it came back up my location was my home (20 miles away). My GPS location started moving north instead of south. It was like that until the next key cycle. Very frustrating cause I couldn't use Blue Cruise the entire way down ? ?

I get this frequently also. Also get this sometimes in my truck with Sync 3. Not a big deal to me unless I’m actually using nav in an unfamiliar place. Very annoyingga.

I'm not sure if it's a GPS or navigation software. The software is terrible, so it can be the reason for those issues.
Just yesterday the navigation brought me to the wrong address about 2 miles away from the actual place. Switching to Android Auto and the location is shown correctly.
Also, yesterday, I used voice commands telling to navigate to Petco. It brought me to some business called Patco. ? The terrible thing about the navigation screen it doesn't show anywhere the address it's taking you to.

Hi there. This GPS concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Mach-E. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

Hello Ford, I went into my dealer for my 1st yr or 16000Km maintenance + asked them to look into my GPS error msg gliche of: "To use Android Auto, your vehicle needs a GPS signal to get the correct time. To get a signal, move your vehicle to an open area." Which I have done of course, along with a Sync 4 reset and a Master reset with the Ford CR service people via phone, with no go.

So, since I was due for maintenance anyways, I took my Premium AWD ER MME in for this, and they said that they may need it for a few days, because they would need to reprogram quite a few modules for the TS to find out what is wrong? Since, my location and time on the display is correct at all times, even when I am in the garage... The MME just will not connect with my Android auto, because of this error msg that pops up..

When I connect the via a USB, the phone gives me a red display msg of: 'Communication error 14, your cars software didn't pass Android Auto security checks. Make sure that the car's date+time are set correctly, and that Google Play services has been up dated.'

Again, I hav the correct date+time and updated my cell to OS v12 + all my s/w to the latest on it, but still nothing? My dealer says that it will take a bit of s/w troubleshooting, with possibility of wiping out my car's s/w, with no functions at all, so that's why ;they may nd it for a couple days??

What do you think of this? Or, do you have any ideas on this?

my GPS was broken for 6 months but i could always still connect android auto and use google maps, i never got the message you did. i tried all the resets including master reset, i had called ford and they made me do a weird rain dance of getting in and out of the car etc, nothing fixed it.

that said they fixed it this month, it was broken hardware (a bit surprising as it's all solid state...) and now i'm up and running again
