My dealership doesn't know anything about EVs. They charge 130$ (USD) for maintenance and recommend it every 5k miles. It's painful. I had to specifically request only a tire rotation and inspection for the 10k maintenance.
Low voltage codes may have been because I kept trying to start the car over and over again after it wouldn't start. Which in hindsight was a terrible idea.
Parked my MY '22, premium trim, RWD, Standard range vehicle at the Detroit airport parking garage for a week while out of town, with 60% SoC, and came back to the car with a SVS error and it wouldn't start. Temperatures were not that cold, probably between 20-50 degrees throughout the week. I...
Thanks for taking a look. I'm guessing since the car was sitting parked for a week (since 12/10/23) it didn't report out. The LVB did die yesterday while in the process of being towed.
I got the dreaded service vehicle soon error message yesterday. The dealership has the car, but I imagine they won't be forthcoming with the errors. Is it possible to see the errors codes by looking up my vehicles VIN? 3FMTK3RM5NMA28293
Update: I went ahead and just scheduled a tire rotation at this same dealer, $30 before tax. They didn't mention or recommend any other services to be done.
Dealership wants to charge $130 for the 10k maintenance for my mach e. Is this for real? I've seen other posts show $20 or $30. I'm in SE...
Was not aware of that. Yes this is my first car over 50k. My previous car was a used 2014 chevy Cruze that I purchased for 8k. Thanks for the clarification!
I suppose I mistated in my OP, but finances aren't the issue, rather that it is not fair. Why am I paying roughly 300$ more (200$ more if factoring in the 114$ on taxes) than a gasoline car? (My math is 154$ registration fee for a gas car plus the 114$ you calculated minus the 416$ registration...
Edit: I've gotten a lot of feedback and realize this was an incorrect post. Appreciate the comments on this one. Makes more sense that MI charges based on a few factors and only includes a $140 "gas tax" for EV registration.
The registration fees in MI are roughly 300$ more for an EV than a gas...
In SE MI - had an electrician install a Nema 14-50 outlet in my garage. Cost was 900$. They didn't have to update my electric panel (just had to sub-divide one spot) and only ran ~25 ft of wire from the basement to the garage. I had quotes for another electrical company that wanted to install a...
I was lucky enough to get mine before the hold. I picked mine up on June 10th. I still haven't received the recall OTA update either, but dropped off my car for the update at the dealer this morning. I had originally set up this appointment because my bluecruise maps had expired, but a few days...
I have not received it. I have not received updated bluecruise maps either and can no longer use hands free driving. Ford is awful at software updates, especially OTA.
My blue cruise maps expired yesterday and hands free driving is no longer available. How do I update these maps? I have automatic updates on and the scheduled time is 1:01am every day.
I was quoted 1700$ (ann arbor area) from Income Power. They quoted adding a separate circuit since my box was nearly full. This did not include the ~600 or 700 required for a smart charger. I got another quote from Ringbloom electrical for 900$ (no separate circuit, but they consolidated some of...
