I have one of the last '21s, delivered in March '22 (CA Rt1). Still overall happy with it, but have a number of minor irritations, the worst being the number of presses it needs to open the rear doors. I probably wouldn't get another Ford, but no real plans to part with it any time soon.
I only drive in Engage, and never charge to 100% (only 90) so not a 100/whisper thing for sure. I haven't seen it again but will see if I can reproduce it. The few times I have been at 100% OPD still works (isn't that part of the point of the battery buffer vs e.g. the Leaf?)
It's about expectations. I doubt I would be in a situation where suddenly losing OPD would cause an accident, but if muscle memory has taught me exactly the amount of distance I need to slow down in OPD, and the car suddenly launches forward during that process it's clearly dangerous. Flippant...
Never been much into fishing, but much obliged for the link!
Ah, that's a pain, thanks. I need to take the car in to replace the HVBJB anyway so I'll probably just get the dealer to work on it.
You know what I did just that and it's really strange that a car forum would have quite so many posts including the words "passenger", "door" and "button", quite strange indeed, so I figured someone might be nice enough to help.
Has anyone else had this happen? Recently (the last month or so) quite often the passenger, especially rear passenger door buttons will only work to open/unlock if I open the driver door, or sometimes front passenger door first. It's making getting the kids in and out a bit of a headache.

Still doesn't work for me either. I spoke to ford support who closed the chat on me after saying they couldn't help so pretty much service as expected.
A year in I absolutely love the car, driving it is still a pleasure every time. Only had the shift issue which meant 2 days at the dealership for a software fix as a major issue - otherwise just profile selection errors and the normal stuff others have.
We're actually loading the car up next...
The 3.5.x series really screwed up CarPlay for me. It seems better now though, so not sure if 3.6.1 (which I got on Tuesday) fixed anything there or it's unrelated.
I got the car back yesterday, they just did a software update and that fixed all my shift errors. Apparently they forgot to tell...
Welp, shift system fault / powertrain malfunction showing up for me today. Booked in to service next week but from other threads on the forum it looks like a dealer-applied software fix so hopefully not a big deal. It still runs fine (which is handy, as I was dropping munchkin#1 off at school...
That's awful timing, let us know how it goes @GuliblGuy
We're planning a vegas/death valley trip early next year and I hope they work out what they are doing with the recall before then or I might hire something in vegas for the death valley stretch.
