  1. High Voltage Junction Box Module Bad

I'm sure someone in the know about warranties and recalls will get back to you but I can tell you $5K to replace that part is way out of line. In 2023 I paid to have mine replaced in my 2021 GTPE ahead of the recall that was coming out because I could not afford to be stranded as I was driving...
  2. Automatic Louvers Replacement - My experience with some photos for anyone who needs them.

Absolutely. I mean it doesn’t take many brain cells to figure that out. However Ford does use square nuts all across the fiberglass spoiler to secure it to the liftgate and that doesn’t made any difference. Same thing happens. The bolts have Loctite in them and they are so tight that the nut...
  3. Automatic Louvers Replacement - My experience with some photos for anyone who needs them.

Since we were talking about that reinforcement bracket that has the nut glued/epoxied into it for the frunk tub bolt, thought I would take a picture of it (I have an extra one) and explain a bit further. Starting in '25 with the smaller frunk tub, there is one bolt (on the left side bottom of...
  4. BSKT Design "This store can not receive payments right now"

I just DM'd you. Already ordered the grilles (have another member that needed one the same as yours). When they arrive, I'll inspect to make sure they are not damaged then ship one out to you. 😊
  5. Automatic Louvers Replacement - My experience with some photos for anyone who needs them.

Agree with you. Earlier years with the larger frunk tub are all bolted to nuts welded to a metal frame. $42 is not too bad for that part but it should not have to be replaced in the first place.
  6. Automatic Louvers Replacement - My experience with some photos for anyone who needs them.

I've replaced that part a few times working on members cars installing new grilles, lighted ponies, etc. Ford should NOT be using Loctite on that particular bolt (or any of them for the frunk tub as far as I am concerned) since it only strips out the retainer in the plastic reinforcement when...
  7. BSKT Design "This store can not receive payments right now"

Hey Rob, actually they just got back from being on an extended vacation on Monday but there is a problems with the store. They are not able to accept any forms of payment at this time. Both Credit Card and PayPal payments are not working. They do have other forms of payment that are working...
  8. Where to keep a battery jumper?

Anything I don't want stolen in my normally unlocked car I keep it in the frunk. It's the only area in the car that a thief would not easily be able to get into unless carrying a crow bar to break the hood latch. I don't have a manual release handle for the frunk (I removed it) so no one will...
  9. Sub $15,000 EV in the US! Fiat Topolino

46 mile range, 19 mph top speed. 4 hour charge time. Not sure how much use one would get from this but I guess it has a market?
  10. Where to keep a battery jumper?

My cars are always in the garage unless I’m working on a friends car but no one would hear the breaking of glass in my neighborhood. Our houses are too far apart.
  11. Where to keep a battery jumper?

Just like the rear wiper that some never use (I don't even have one) and some won't buy a car without one, some lock their cars ALL the time (maybe valuables inside?) and some rarely lock their cars (like me) because there is nothing valuable inside (except my subwoofer 😊). In the rare case my...
  12. Where to keep a battery jumper?

I understand what you are saying. The Mach-E is the only car I have seen with door presenters. Lincoln and Lexus for several years have had electronic door latches that don't have door presenters. Touch a button on the backside of the door handle and the door only unlatches like all the '24...
  13. Where to keep a battery jumper?

Yes they do. The doors on ALL Mach-E's from '21-'26 will open with a dead battery providing the car is not LOCKED because of a capacitor in the door module that provides backup power to the door latch.
  14. Where to keep a battery jumper?

No I don’t think so. With a dead battery those door presenters don’t work at all. Just the door latch will open because of the capacitor in the door module. Removing the door presenters saves money and in my opinion aren’t necessary anyway.
  15. DIY Automatic Frunk open/close

And here are a couple of threads on this subject from some of us who have installed it: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/auto-frunk-kit-installed-on-mach-e.52432/ https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/my-super-bias-one-sided-fanboy-review-of-the-automatic-frunk-kit.51477/
  16. Anyone Ride in a Mach-e Being Used as a Taxi in NYC?

Not in NYC but several different times when I've been to Amsterdam. Besides Tesla, the Mach-E seems to be the second most popular taxi there. One of the Mach-E's I was in. The driver said it was his favorite one to take from the yard when he arrived for work. He was surprised me and my...
  17. Where to keep a battery jumper?

No problem Steven. Yes capacitors are in the door modules and will release the door latch when you push the button twice. I work on my cars a lot (and many others) and frequently have the 12V battery disconnected for one reason or another. Never an issue opening the doors. You can open a...
  18. Where to keep a battery jumper?

Only if the car was LOCKED when the battery dies are you unable to get in (after 12 minutes). If the car is unlocked, there is no problem opening any of the doors with a dead battery, even if the battery has been removed.
  19. Whats the point of this feature?

That was my second color choice if I didn't get the Glacier Gray. Adding the physical liftgate button is much easier than the camera button. I've recently added it on two leased Mach-E's.
  20. Whats the point of this feature?

I don’t have a ā€˜25 but have worked on at least three of them updating software with FDRS and FORScan mods.
