There are members here with and without this issue (seems like more without) and our chargers and cars are basically the same or similar, so can this be an App issue? Is it the Emporia app that gives you this error or Ford Pass? What phone do you have? I have an iPhone as well as my two...
Hey Jerry, while it's not impossible, it's not very cost effective nor easy to add the MagneRide suspension system to a car.
Besides the four active struts/shocks, the system has height sensors at each corner and the VDM (Vehicle Dynamic Module) which only come in the GTPE (now in the Rally...
I was wondering the same thing. I will have to check the part numbers for the struts/shocks and VDM on that car to see if they have changed from previous years.
Also noticed the load capacity of the tire is at a much lower 99 rating. That seems odd to me since all other Mach-E 4X's have a...
Thanks User100723 but I actually am not an expert when it comes to EV charging or chargers for that matter. Many others here especially Mach-Lee would be able to answer any technical questions you might have.
I now see you were referring to a Level 3 charger and yes they communicate with the...
Both of my chargers have charged at least 8 different Mach-E's from a very early '21 built in November '20 to one of the later '23's built in October '23 and 4 Tesla's all '22-'23 models, we figured the '17 Tesla being much older without the updated software/display that my friend would have to...
2 Emporia Chargers, both hardwired on their own 60A breaker going on 2 years. No error issues charging multiple Mach-E's. Have also charged several Tesla's and the only issue I had was a 2017 Model S would not accept a charge at all. Finally figured out it did not like the Emporia set to 48A...
Yes, out of the tires I have tested, the Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3 were the quietest and smoothest riding, second were the Pirelli Scorpion Zero AS Plus 3. The PLUS tires are not available in Europe and were made specifically for the US market to have a quiet, smooth ride.
So yes you will save time since the car is up in the air and already have the wheels off and the end links disconnected but not too big a deal if you have to do that over again.
Besides dramatically improving the handling, as Mike said, there is a slight improvement in comfort. This is one of the first things I noticed when I installed the bars which were available months before the springs. The OEM bars have vulcanized rubber bushings keeping the bars from easily...
Phil, happy to hear you have the same conclusion that everyone else has had that's done this: "takes the edge off the bone-rattling stock suspension". And yes it is a straightforward installation. Changing out the sway bars will actually give you an even slightly better ride and make the car...
As far as the rear goes, it is adjustable from the factory and so far the 5 cars I have installed the lowering springs, all have been able to be adjusted no problem within factory specs. The fronts are not adjustable at all unless you 1. replace the upper splined bolt with an adjustable bolt...
Thanks, looks like I already posted on that thread (I have a poor memory). No problems here with the Emporia's on my end. Checked with my friends in Arizona and in Colorado, no issues there either. Not sure why some have it and some don't.
Can you explain what you mean by this? I guess I have not read much up on issues with Emporia's EV chargers but I have two in my garage and have charged multiple Mach-E's and Teslas over the past 2+ years without any issues whatsoever. I generally have them set to charge only on excess solar...
Exactly. Was going to mention the same thing. There is NO best tire for the Mach-E. It all depends on what you want in a tire. My top criteria is performance so that basically means I don't care about anything else, especially tread wear and range. I tried to make UHP All Season's work for...
They were actually 315's in the rear Steve but I did have to modify the rear upper shock support as I always want the outer tire sidewalls to be flush with the fender trim. All other sizes didn't need any suspension modifications.
I'll have some new wheels showing up around the middle of next...
As Lee said above, this is strictly a wi-fi issue. Nothing to do with CarPlay but since CarPlay only uses WiFi to connect that’s why it drops in that area. I get the same thing in specific areas in Arizona and Colorado in the same exact locations. It usually reconnects within a mile or so.
I also don't care the least bit about range. I have no idea what the efficiency is of my car but I only asked as others have asked me of the cars that I've lowered if anyone has noticed.
