Has anyone had this issue, I just got the quote back from Ford Dealer and was told the High Voltage Junction box module has gone bad, and its going to cost over 5k to repair. I asked about previous recalls but they say my car is not on the list. I have a 2021 Mach-e Premium x-range. I have 126k miles on it so its out of warranty. I feel like this issue is directly related to this recall. I also think this price is a little high and not sure how to shop this around I feel like its gotta have a Ford person do it. Any thoughts ?

I'm sure someone in the know about warranties and recalls will get back to you but I can tell you $5K to replace that part is way out of line. In 2023 I paid to have mine replaced in my 2021 GTPE ahead of the recall that was coming out because I could not afford to be stranded as I was driving back and forth to the airport several times a month (it is a 2 hour drive for me). The HVBJB was $544 and the labor was $1100. I'm sure the price would be higher now but I doubt $5K. By the way, after the recall came out, Ford reimbursed me for the repair.

You are out of the EV warranty with 126,000 miles. You can call Ford and ask them if they would give you any leeway on the repair since the same part failed again (especially if it was replaced in the past two years).

$5000 is too much for that repair, it should be more like $2500.
