Then there is something strange. Some people did make the recall list but it appears their VIN was later removed but in all the cases I have noticed they had their HVBJB’s previously replaced. Not saying their VIN’s should or should not remain on the list but if your car was manufactured before June of 22 and its HVBJB was not replaced then it should be.

Man, I hope it doesn't rely on dealers proactively reaching out, I'll never hear from anyone. The one I bought it from is over 2 hours away and they've never contacted me and the one I get serviced I've never had them proactively tell me about a needed recall (though I haven't really been part of one).
Dam, You use Bluebonnet ford in New Braunfels also lmfao lol lol lol?‍♂

Exactly my thought. Thank you. I’ll just give them a call. They’ve been pretty good support wise last time I needed some software modules updated for error messages.

Hey y'all how long did the repair actually take once you took your cars in? I contacted our local dealership yesterday and they took our car in same day and said ford authorized a 2 day rental. But said, it may take longer with no timeline, so wanted to know for those who have had it done how long I should expect. My wife is the one who drives the car as I work from home and she is off this week which is why we decided to do it, but now I am a bit concerned we will be stuck with this edge for weeks.

For me, one day (24 hours).

Ford will reimburse the dealer for 6 hours, so the actual service is one day. In my case, it was a week of waiting for a tech to shake loose, one day for service, then one day later me going to the dealer to get status (since the service advisor wouldn’t return my VMs, texts, or messages) and being told: “Huh, your car was done yesterday.” ?‍♂?

We’re trying to get this solved with Metro Ford in Calgary, AB. They’re saying the part is backordered. Any way of finding out how backordered? I’m moving to the states soon, anyone know if not having this sorted will stop me from bringing car into the US?

Anyone hear from their dealer that they have to inspect the car first, then order it, and then i have to come back to have it completed? or leave my car that entire time? it's so frustrating as i bought this electric car not wanting to ever to go back to my dealer, and now not only do i have to leave it with them, it's for days on end.

i know i'm preaching to the choir as there are people who had to be without it for weeks. anyone have any advice to make it smoother - can i call ford and have them pre-order the part to be shipped to the dealer? why send me the notice that parts are now available and allocated, but the dealer still has to order them?

i mean crappy dealer aside, this should be smoother.

I'm still curious why I got the recall notice and then ford deleted my VIN out of the recall.

I got this same line from my dealer before dropping it off March 28th. I ended up leaving it as they gave me a loaner Mach E to use in the interim. After zero communication from them and no returned calls I get a text and email today saying my car is done and I owe $871 in parts for the recall.

Going to give them a chance to make it right and not charge me before calling the ford BEV team to get it fixed.

They won't return my calls, tell me 'it's a software fix' bring it in.

This is after they said 'We'll order the new part and let you know'. ~2 months ago...

'21 CA/RT1 no prior work re; HVBJB so no software fix (unless OTA) and no changed HVBJB.

They act like everyone doesn’t have a clue and just try to give you the run around.

At this point I have 0 faith in them. I am inclined to not get it down and take my chances before May 2025 when ford options is up. I’ll turn it in and never come back. Which is really too bad cause I love the car.

Dealers are the worst.

When I bought my car a couple of months ago I couldn’t take delivery for more than a week. They tried to convince me I had a recall, and they were waiting on the part. Well, there was no recall on my car. They had taken that high voltage junction box, or whatever that part was for the recall off my car to fix another car and then the part that came in. I got some free service out of it, Plus they let me use a bronco for a week.

My Story with the recall.
Had a service appointment early January 2024. We discussed the recall and was told part would be ordered.
Fast forward to mid march. Called the dealer, left message no response.
Friday April 5th after service hours got the dreaded Service vehicle soon warning. Managed to make it home then got the Stop safely now warning.
Ford pass showed Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced power and High-voltage Battery Warning.

Since it was now the weekend and my extended warranty had just expired in Feb, no roadside assistance available.
I decided to PM Ford Canada to start the ball rolling.
I received a PM back from Ford saying they have authorized the Warranty repair.
Called my dealer back left a message. Got a call back finally saying bring it in and we will get it fixed.
I plan to take it over tomorrow morning (slowly) and see how thing proceed.
Will update as things unfold.

UPDATE:
Car went in early yesterday morning.
Received a call today. All done no charge.
I have a feeling that me contacting Ford Canada through this forum, sped up the process.
Fingers crossed all is good.
