1 pedal drive error when BC is on

I got 1 pedal drive fault twice when I was driving with Blue cruise and went away after restarting the car. Does anybody konw what prompts this error? or just a software error/bug?

Oddly, I got the same message this morning. I pulled out of the home garage, went about 500 feet and that exact same thingy popped up. Never use Bluecruise. Checked controls screen and 1Pedal was dimmed out. Couldn’t turn it on or off. Not knowing what to do in such situations I normally curse it and reboot. Land of Goshen! After I shut down the car and started up , the problem has disappeared at least for the moment.
What could have caused that and what was it that cured it.?
Does regenerative braking die with the 1 pedal system?

It's a glitch in the motor software, just restart the car if it happens. To make sure braking isn't unpredictable, regen becomes disabled the rest of the drive.

This just happened to me---the 1-pedal drive fault, press pedal to reduce speed. (I was not using Blue Cruise.)

My conditions were, I was parked on a hill facing downward, we just had a serious downpour, and my brakes probably stuck to the rotors a bit (because they made a sound when the car started moving).

After stopping the car, turning it off and then back on, everything was fine.
