I always enjoy reviews and observations of owners, so I thought I would post a review with some popular threads in mind.
We have a '22 Premium ER AWD, built Sept. received Oct. of '22. We have 24,000 miles on the car. We are in the Kansas City area, so driving conditions range from teens to 90 degrees with mostly moderate driving conditions. In the 18 months we have averaged 2.6 mi/kwh, our best being 3.3, worst 2.1. We average 423 kwh per month charging at a cost of .125 per kwh. or around $53.00 a month.
We replaced a Ford Fusion which got @27 mpg. Gas prices over the 18 months here have averaged around $3.10 per gallon for a cost of $132.00 per month, so in a year we are saving around $950.00 for "fuel". Kansas fuel tax is .24 per gallon, federal tax is .184. Kansas registration fees are $30.00 for an ICE, $50.00 for a PHEV and $100.00 for a BEV so this works out to a $130.00 a year savings in taxes. I'm sure that Kansas will eventually realize I'm making out reasonably well in this area and raise the tax on BEV's.
We have done DCFC charging 21 times on various road trips, mostly Chargepoint and EA and have never had any real problems at a charger, have needed to change towers only a couple of times and have never needed to wait for a charger. We have not had any problems travelling in the car and enjoy the more relaxed charging stops. Charge assist/public charge have made the process much smoother and the Tesla SC network is a real "game-changer" when travelling.
We are currently on 6.14 with our last update being 24-PUO105-CMR-FX. The car seems to update on a quite regular basis and we have never had a real problem after an OTA.
The car has been problem free and everything we hoped for when we bought it. We really have to be careful when we are in someones Toyota or Chevy and not come off as smart-ass EV people, but it really has been a pleasure owning the Mach-E.
