Does anyone have any recent tips on improving CarPlay reliability?
I have the latest Sync software version in a Mach-E produced in November 2021 and an iPhone 13 Pro with the latest IOS updates and having issues with consistency with CarPlay.
It used to have about 20% chance of connection when entering the car when connecting wirelessly, so I switched to simply wired carplay (disabling CarPlay via the Bluetooth settings). Now I have about 50% reliability plugging in when entering the car. I also noticed some weird behavior when trying to get Wired to work initially...the phone wouldn't even charge via USB-C or USB-A when plugged in.
This phone works 100% of the time with my Audi and wired CarPlay, although that changes to 50% if I am on the phone when plugging in.
FWIW I have never been able to get PaaK to work.
Did anyone go from low reliability to 100% reliability? Interested in the latest tips.
