The car is only "autonomous" in that it will keep you in the lane and slow down for the car ahead....that is about it.

What were you expecting?

This car can't drive autonomous, it has driver assist systems...

Hi, I tested the Mach-E and tryed to drive autonomous. In the end of the Video u can see, that he drive autonomous only for really short times. Did someone know if I did something wrong or the car cant do better.

There are NO commercially available vehicles, I repeat, NO commercially available vehicles, capable of “autonomous” driving. Ignore whatever you may have heard from certain Saturday Night Live guest hosts. Remember, they are entertainers!

I will never ever turn that on. Waste of money putting that on my car.

Ford's CoPilot360 system has lane-centering but this is NOT hands-free. You'll feel the car following the road (provided the roadway is marked well enough ... there are places where road conditions will cancel it if it can't "read" the lane well enough). You DO need to keep your hands on the wheel in this mode (and it will scold you if you don't.)

As a test, I have just very lightly kept my hands on the wheel to feel how the car wants to turn and there are a few areas where a lane widens for a turn, etc. and the car wouldn't have followed through on the path a drive would have taken. Basically it "usually" but not "always" does the right thing ... and that's why you always have to have your hands on the wheel.

Later this year, cars equipped with the self-driving equipment can get the Blue-Cruise feature enabled and this allows "hands free" driving but only on freeways. But even that mode requires that you are watching the road and a driver monitoring system is making sure that you are.

SAE has defined 5 levels of autonomous driving. Adaptive and/or Intelligent cruise-control and lane centering is level 1 (the most basic). Blue Cruise is level 2.

BTW, Tesla is only at level 2 ... despite what claims you may otherwise read or hear.

There are zero production cars at levels 3, 4, or 5 ... nobody is there yet.

You needed to turn on cruise control and auto lane centering. With that on, you'll see a "bubble" around the car icon

*** My apologies for my initial snarky remark

I'd suggest reading the manual and learning how to turn on Adaptive Cruise and Lane Centering. The car does not spontaneously decide to take over driving duties. You need to be able to turn the system on and recognize when it is ready to function. In addition, the system works best on roads with clearly marked lane striping. The country roads you recorded yourself on, while beautiful, are poorly suited to the capabilities of Co-Pilot 360. Lastly, as almost everyone else noted, this is NOT autonomous driving and using that language or even thinking that way are incorrect, counter-productive and potentially dangerous. It's a driver assistance system, and that is how you should think about it.
