Got my tires rotated today and they did an inspection. turns out both front and rear shocks are leaking.
The technician said the front has been leaking for a while now (appears to be) I had a fordcare premium upto 75k but the last time I had it in a dealer for service I don't think they did an inspection. Now that I'm out of any kind of warranty, What are some decent replacements for the stock parts?

I don't want to spend a crapton of money as the car already has almost 80k on it, I just want to get it down the ro

I don’t believe there is a good aftermarket direct replacement yet. That said, the Koni shock that @markboris pioneered for the rear helps to tame the rear “bounciness” that many seem to have. ??

I’ve looked wanting to upgrade and the only shocks that fit are the Ford OEM ones. I checked a couple used parts sites and they run about $125 each, as opposed to $275 new.
I second having someone else look it over. It’s an old scam to spray some lubricant and tell you there’s a leak.
