Does anyone know if it is possible to add charge stations to the built in navigation? There are at least 5 or 6 DC Fast charge stations near me that do not show up in the navigation screen when planning a trip. I have credits at a few of them and want to use them versus some of the stations that do appear, but I cannot find a way to get the Mach e to see them. I have hunted and cannot find any method. Please advise. It is likely staring me in the face, but I do not see any way to do it. Thanks in advance

None that I am aware of. I received an alert , I think in Fordpass that their system of plug and play will shut down Wednesday overnight for a bit to update their Blue Oval Charge Network so maybe charger updates will happen then

There are settings around which network to display, it defaults to Ford network, but switch to all. See if that works.

I think quite a lot of the Ford Navigation charge point info comes as a feed from the PlugShare ecosystem of app database & website.

You can add sites on their page and they will then appear on your Ford Nav system

I can tell you that not all Florida p&L fast chargers don’t show up in Ford Nav unless you are right on top of them. They are in plug share

why I don’t know

They’ll show up if you search their location and know where they are at like the St. Augustine one is Gate Gas Station lol. It’s an awesome charger though, I don’t know what they did to make their equipment so reliable but EA needs to get some advice from them.

Yes your’e right

when in Ford Nav and driving on the turnpike and then do a search for chargers - a lot of chargers show up but not FPL, they seem pretty decent from my experience even if they aren’t all super fast

I get 72kw peak, which isn’t too bad if you’ve planned it as a lunch break, the fact is they work all the time so that’s what matters most, the St. Augustine one was so quiet compared to the Buc-ees down the street with the Tesla SC, it was so nice just grab food from there and eat while charging

Yes. Received the following message today. Perhaps listing other charging networks indicates a change from exclusively showing EA stations only.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Add Charge Stations to Navigation? 1679362023449

BlueOval Charge Network member,

We will be performing scheduled maintenance on the BlueOval Charge Network starting on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 3:00AM EDT. We expect this maintenance to take approximately one hour, during which time some charging features will be impacted.

While maintenance is performed, the ability to activate and pay for public charging sessions via the FordPass app or by using Plug&Charge will be temporarily unavailable. Home charging will be unaffected.

During the maintenance window, you will be able to find and navigate to chargers normally by using your in-vehicle navigation, however upon arriving at a charger you must activate and pay for charging with the charge station operator directly by following any posted instructions on the charging station, or by calling the charging station operator directly at the numbers provided below for assistance starting a session:

Electrify America: 833-632-2778

EVgo: 877-494-3833

Shell Recharge: 855-900-7584

ChargePoint: 888-758-4389

EVConnect: 866-816-7584

Flo: 888-356-8911

SemaConnect: 800-663-5633

We know disruptions are inconvenient, but system maintenance like this helps us keep the BlueOval Charge Network up to date.

FAQs:

Do I need to do anything?

No action is required on your part.

How long will the system maintenance take?

We expect maintenance to be completed in about an hour, after which BlueOval Charge Network features will be restored.

Can I still charge my vehicle during this maintenance window?

Yes. However, to initiate a public charge during the maintenance window, you must activate and pay for charging directly with the charge station operator (Electrify America, EVgo, etc.). Follow any instructions posted on the charging station to activate and pay for charging or call the charge station operator at the number provided on the charging station. Home charging will be unaffected.
