Has anyone installed a amppro bypass on 2024 models? I called PAC and they have not verified with 2024 models so I am reaching out to the community to see if there was any trailblazers on this? Because I am about to test it out this week. I can update this post if no one responds.

2021-2023FORDMUSTANG MACH EALL TRIM LEVELS

UPDATE:
I have installed the AP4-FD31 in my 2024 rally edition and no issues at all! Good luck to anyone else wanting to upgrade their system.

Their compatibility matrix is sadly out of date. There should not be any differences between 24 and 22 in terms of compatibility.

I just had a system installed in my Lightning that uses the PAC Interface you reference. It works fine. I had a similar system installed in my 23.5 Mache, but that uses the MoBridge interface.

They both work. The MoBridge has more configuration options. The PAC sends the correct signal to the car’s sync system so you don’t get DSP communication failure notices in FDRS. Note that those notices don’t impact the car - they are just annoying when doing FDRS programming.

With each, if you use optical audio out (preferred for audio quality), you lose front to back warning chimes. In other words, for example, you hear cross traffic alert as either left or right beeping. With the stock system, you would hear front left, front right, rear left, or rear right beeping. That has not been a big deal to me. If you really want that level of beeping granularity, you need to use RCA out from the PAC for each channel.

Thanks for that update!

I just picked up the PAC. Would you say one is better than the other?

My setup is RCA for my full range speakers and sub.

I will update this post once I have it all installed.

It’s really a pros and cons thing (listed above). The mobridge is reliable. I haven’t had the pac for long but seems good so far. Both can be updated/configured via a pc and usb.

One note, since I use optical out, I don’t have any concerns about the quality of the DAC converter for either. If you are doing RCA out, that ‘may’ matter to you.

Well it looks fancier for sure. I do like all the support it has.. including 2024 model verification... dang.. might return that DAC lol and pick up the mobridge.

Just know that the sound out of it is pure signal. To get good sound, are you using a DSP (preferably one with an auto room/cabin EQ)?

What I can tell you that this car sounds astonishing with the right DSP work.

I’d be curious if anyone could tell the difference with DACs, especially if a DSP is used.

Turns out the PAC works perfect with 2024 models. I am now bumping with my focal components and some 12" P3's.

I have ordered the Pac ap4-fd31 and was looking at the install instructions and it says:
"On most Ford models, some of the vehicle speakers will be connected to the radio module in addition to the external
amplifier. These speakers will also stop working when the factory amplifier is disconnected and will need to be powered by
an aftermarket amplifier"
Did you find this to be true? Did the center and dash speakers stop working? Did you have to use extra harness behind radio module? I was hoping that I would not have to do this.

So, looking at the PAC AP4-FD31 specs online, it seems like it’s designed to integrate with your system even if you’re bypassing the factory amp. However, they do mention that in some Ford setups, certain speakers (like the center and dash ones) are connected directly to the radio module. If you disconnect the factory amp, those speakers might stop working unless you power them with an aftermarket amp.

In my setup, I replaced all the door speakers and ran new wires from a 4-channel amp. I also replaced the dash tweeters, but my center speaker doesn’t work anymore. That’s by choice, though, because I’m only running left and right (stereo) audio. The AP4-FD31 definitely has signal outputs for the speakers, so if you wanted to keep the center and dash speakers, you’d just need to power them from your amp or possibly add some extra wiring.

I can check my wires that I did not use. But I remember having all the signal outputs for speakers but I did not use them. Just the RCA outs.
