Android Auto automatically adding charge stops to route.

Just got the 10.1 update and I've been appreciating maps having battery level info/destination charge estimates.

I'm currently trying to drain the HVB to <5% to recalibrate.

So I'm at 10% on my way home and there are two different routes I can take and I usually let Google maps tell me which one has less traffic on a given day. Maps predicts I'll get home with 8% charge but when I tell it to route me home it routes me 10 minutes out of the way to a fast charger and then home finishing with 26% charge...

I couldn't figure out how to get it to just route me home without a stop.

Is there some way to turn that off? That's a great function but not if there's no way to turn it off when you don't want it.

I don't think you can turn it off, they want to make it idiot proof so you can't run out of battery. The best solution would be use another navigation app like ABRP or just shut off the nav and keep driving if you know the way.

BTW, you can drain the battery the last bit to 5% using MAX Defrost in your garage instead of having to drive it all the way down. So if you get it under 10% you can do the last couple percent with defrost.

Turns out you can reject the new route and it just routes you as normal. Couldn't figure it out at first because you have to scroll down in the little search window until you get to the (X).
