I checked the forum and a search only shows some Google results that haven't helped. Has anyone else had their Android phone set to English as the primary language, and yet the language on Android Auto sometimes sets itself to Spanish? This primarily shows up in the icons when you open the app section. The online sources only suggest setting your phone to English, but no answers for when it is and this still happens.

I guess I'm learning Spanish as I drive now.

I have not, but I've had it randomly switch voices for announcements of incoming text messages from certain people....

For instance, have a good friend who is of Italian descent and has, what I'd consider, a very Italian sounding last name...

Everyone once in a while it will announce, as it reads the incoming text, "David G. said....."

And it will proceed to say his name and the entire text in a very fake, over-the-top sounding "Italian accent....." ??

Some would probably consider it downright offensive, lol...

The rest of the message is the normal voice, and it only does this randomly, maybe about once every 20-25 texts from him...

No earthly idea why it's doing it or deciding when to do it (or not.....) ?

That sounds like a legitimately hilarious feature that I want turned on immediately.
