Android Auto/Google maps EV routing not working

(Woke up this morning and realized I really missed the mark in how I described the problem...No more internet before bed!)

Last month I purchased a new 2024 GT performance. So far I love almost everything about it. My only disappointments so far are that they removed the parking features, which I loved in my 17 fusion energy platinum, and my frustration in getting the Android Auto EV integration to work.

I am not getting any of the features like battery on arrival estimates, charging stops, or preconditioning.

I confirmed I have the latest Google maps and and configured my vehicle in the settings. I have not been able to figure out how to see what version of the software I have in the car but I would assume since it's brand new it should be updated. (Probably a terrible assumption) I did receive two updates over the last couple of days. What I do see doesn't align with what I have read. (10.1.0 and later). My SYNC version is way off from that but I don't think thats what they were talking about

So far I have uninstalled and reinstalled Google maps, reconnected the Bluetooth in the car, and made sure every option I could find in the car was turned on.

I really hope I'm missing something obvious. Has anyone else had issues? I'm attaching some pictures I took showing the options and versions.

Your vehicle has not yet received the update (10.1.0) that enables Google Maps EV Routing for Android Auto. When it does, the feature will automatically turn on.

Where would I see that update? Is it the sync version?
I have a trip coming up in February and I want to practice before I do this. Can a dealership force this update?

It blows my mind that I bought a brand new vehicle after the release of this feature and it's not installed on it.

You'll see Software Update 10.1.0 in the release notes when the update is deployed to your vehicle. This feature was released after your vehicle was built, so your vehicle needs an update to receive this feature.

I had the VIN for my F150, and checked on it while it was on a railroad car from the factory. Ford released an update for that VIN before it even arrived.

Of course that doesn't mean that the update was delivered OTA immediately.

If you have any pull with your dealership, perhaps you could get them to update the car manually for you?

I am pretty sure this Software Update is on hold. Some vehicles got it, but many did not. With Ford's continued piss poor communication, it's really a guessing game.

On my 2022 Premium, I have not received an update since September. I have not received this one yet, but I desperately want it as it will fix a lot of winter driving issues for me.

@Ford Motor Company - please, just give us better communication of what is happening.

Where can I find what version of SYNC I have? I have a 21 and have never had the EV functionality of Google Maps in my car. It sure would be nice if it knew my battery levels.

Well what do you know. I cant help but wonder if posting about this and putting a pic of my vin number in a public form didn't help. lol Going to try and mess around with it tomorrow. But already I see the charge at destination estimates showing up.
