Excuse my thickhead, but I read your link and it does clearly state: "Trade-in your vehicle to the dealer and apply the proceeds to your remaining balance. Any excess proceeds may be used as a down payment toward your new Ford or Lincoln."Have you read this?: https://www.ford.com/finance/finance-options/ford-options/
But, it is silent to what happens if the trade-in value is less than the balloon payment. Will Ford still accept the trade as full payment of the balloon amount. If not, like AKgrampy mentioned, why would I not just return the car to Ford and buy the new vehicle?
