I've searched the forum and haven't seen this particular issue...

After my second HVBJB replacement, my approach lights (pony puddle lights) stopped working, and the door won't unlock when I press the button on the front door about half the time (need to manually hit the Unlock button on my fob). When I took the car in for it's 20,000-mile service, I mentioned the issue and my tech mentioned there was an SSM or TSB that re-flashed the RFM, which he performed...but the issue persists!

I've unpaired and re-paired my PaaK, and I've changed the battery in the fob, but I'm out of ideas. Has anyone else encountered this and found a solution?

Thanks!

Since you just got it back from service, I'd start by lifting the 12V cable for 5 minutes to reset all the modules. If it still persists, you should send me your VIN so I can see if you need RFA + BCM update.

During service, your RFA (Bluetooth) module was updated, which would affect the paring with your phone.

After the reset, you still have a relevant code: BCM B155E - Incorrect Response from Immobilizer SubControl Module - Set by the BCM when the Phone as a Key function has not been enabled and/or the customers phone is not paired to the FORDPASS™ app.

Recommended steps:
  1. Verify your vehicle is added to FordPass and is activated. Verify remote start from the app functions.
  2. Delete and recreate the PAAK key in the app to re-pair the phone with the car.
  3. If that doesn't work, you may have to go further and completely delete all the Bluetooth pairings from your phone and from the car before trying again.
  4. Last, you may try a complete PAAK reset from the car.
Additional steps:
  1. A BCM update is available and may be required to completely solve the issue.
  2. The GFM module (frunk) also needs to be updated at the same time to avoid an error.
