Tesla’s customer service is lacking even by car manufacturer standards. ICE vehicle fires are 60 times more likely to occur than a BEV fire. Hybrid vehicle fires are 130 times more likely to occur than an ev fire.

I saw that. My guess is he hit some road debris that punctured the pack. Unfortunately not much can be done once the pack catches fire, it's just gonna burn.

Honestly I could see same sort of thing happening to us when calling Ford Customer Support. I'm not sure if they've had training on how to handle an EV fire or major charging issue. The guy that had the DC charger weld to his charge port wasn't getting anywhere with Ford support either.

All car fires are bad. However if you look he had plenty of time to exit. Even if he had whole family in car. So many times it "burst" "exploded" in flames. Not the case. However once the fire starts best to get out before it just keeps burning. Ice cars can and do burst into flames. EVs just keep burning getting bigger as they go. But rarely if ever "burst" into flames
