In my are of North Carolina there are many "Resume Safe Speed" signs which the MME ignores. The signs are posted at the end of 45mph zones and indicate that a 50-60mph speed may be appropriate depending on the curves encountered. Sometimes the signage is after a 35mph zone mainly due to missing 45mph signage.
My concern is the MME is logging data indicating my disregard of the posted speed limit as the MME keeps the 45 or 35 as the posted limit while I maneuver the windy roads at 50-65.
Insurance offered through Ford gave an initial discount with the carrot of higher future discounts based on my driving history as recorded by my MME. They did not talk about up-charges based on the history!
I am glad that I stuck with my current insurer since about 20% of my driving is in "Resume Safe Speed" zones.
