I had to pull my panels to charge my 12v battery. Since I was in there I decided to improve the lighting for the frunk.

I had some 12v led light strips that I used to fully light up my trunk of my 2016 GT. They don’t make them anymore, but they are similar to these

1. I pulled the hood liner.
2. The flat section is at the right angle and just over the frunk, so I drilled the holes where the leds would be.

3. I hot glued the lights in place. I also hot glued the wire to the hood line and routed it to the left strut where I zip tied it all the way to the frunk wire harness.

4. I cut off the light connector and spliced in my wire.

5. Here’s the end result. Very happy. Except for a little section of wire, everything is hidden.
