Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find an answer. I got a new phone and sometimes it will connect to my Mach e while I'm in the house and the car is parked and off in the garage. It's annoying because I miss some notifications. I assume the new phone (Pixel 9a) has better Bluetooth than my old phone (Pixel 6), and I don't want to turn off bluetooth on my phone whenever I'm at home. I'm surprised the Mach e connects to Bluetooth when it's turned off. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

I don’t recall this being asked before. That’s a new one for me. I have no idea why it would do that. The Bluetooth profile for PAAK and Ford pass is different than the audio one.

When you say connects do you mean like CarPlay where the audio goes to the car? I mean I can connect to my MachE via blue tooth but it is like Ali said for PAAK or other type functionality.

Thank you, I think that helped me figure it out! I was wrong, it was NOT connecting to my audio. I think it was connected to my PAAK, not the audio Bluetooth. Your response made me look in my Bluetooth settings and I realized there were two entries - "31786 MACH E" and "Jonathan's Mustang." The first is PAAK, the second audio, I now realize.

My confusion was because I installed a program on my phone called Tasker that has a module to notify and save location when the car is parked, i.e. when it disconnects from the car's Bluetooth (so I can find the car again after parking in a large parking lot, e.g.). When I set up the program, I told it to notify me when disconnected from my PAAK Bluetooth, not the audio Bluetooth. So, whenever I left the room next to the car and it disconnected from PAAK, I got a notification!

I changed the module and it should be fine now. Thanks again for the help!

Glad you figured it out! I had the exact same issue with another car and it was driving me crazy, had to turn off my Bluetooth until I could fix it.
