Full version has the app and greater customizability. Lite has no app and is presumably limited to a subset of "sound schemes". The full version can't currently be purchased and they state "the app will be available in 2025", so I assume the Lite version is what they can sell right now without adding people to the OP's class action lawsuit of people demanding the app they paid for while they wait for the intern to learn how App Stores work...

Product was over a year late to market. It sold for $1,606.99 with future promised app, more sounds, etc. That has never come.

In October, David Borla promised an imminent announcement (see below from their FB group). That hasn't come. He also stated that past purchasers would be protected in some manner. For many, their credibility has been lost at the continued promised and then missed dates. How do you promise an imminent announcement on 10/29/24 and 5 months later you still haven't made it?

I can't cite specifics, but I believe there are other issues with the original system beyond no app.

Now, it appears they're clearing out the old version at a "discount" for $799. Which is interesting, because it hasn't been available to buy for many months....

The new system with the promised version of the app will be $1,699. It will have "new hardware". In other words, not the old hardware...

The biggest sales were to Hertz, who made the Shelby edition, which was stickers and the original Borla sound system. They're selling those for $50k or so, and not selling them it seems...

There was supposed to be a Lightning version, and that didn't happen. It was delayed "until after SEMA but it will be available before the end of this year". Got a company from the company sent to everyone on the list promising Lightning was on track for "early December". That was in 2023...

I was initially interested in this. Not for normal driving, but for having some fun at times - like pulling into Cars and Coffee, or the EV show. Or the nearby town where all the souped up cars do a 1 mile loop while thousands sit in lawn chairs watching. I signed up and when it was delayed was promised pricing that even my wife would approve (or similar wording). Then it came out at $1,606.99, which any marketer would tell you is pricing by someone that doesn't know pricing. I was offered a special price of $1,304.99, PLUS SHIPPING. I declined.

They said the app would be out in Q1 2024, then "fall". It hasn't launched yet.

Borla is a great company for exhaust systems. This product is so far outside their "wheelhouse" that it's not on the boat.

If this product was say $499 I might have it on my truck.

Sadly, my “intern hypothesis” is holding up it would seem… Looks like there's a third "middle tier" to the product line... The Shelby co-branded variant presumably has the same hardware as the current "lite" version plus the app, but doesn't specify the ability to download or customize new sound schemes for $999: SHELBY MACH-E ENCLOSURE SYSTEM (ELECTRONIC EXHAUST SIMULATOR)
