Car Did Not Charge Last Night

apologies if this has already been discussed but last night my car did not charge. This is the first time I’ve had an issue with it. It appears that it fell asleep before my set charging time (or during the first few minutes of charging). Has anyone had this issue before? Had to make different arrangements to get to work today because of it.

If it doesn’t start charging at your preset time just unplug and plug it back in again. This worked for me to get charging to start.

The thing is I went to bed assuming it would start charging at the pre set time but it didn’t ?

Yeah, after it happened to me I always check to see if it is charging before I go to bed!

I think I'm going to make a Shortcut to check for charging level so I get a notification if it didn't.

Yep. Happens to me every once in a while.

How far is your commute? Is your car able to replenish the battery in your charge window? If you don't have enough to make it to work then it should have charged right away when you plugged in yesterday. ???

This has happened once to me but I have plenty of battery to make it to work and back and I can always charge at work so that's a good safety net as well. I start mine at 11 pm since Electric Utility gives me a better rate for charging in that window. I go to bed way before that since I have to get up at 3:30. Not sure why it didn't charge but that's been the only time

Sounds like we have a very similar schedule and I usually have no issues. My commute is 120 miles round trip and I have the standard awd so there’s not a ton of variable room.

Yeah, that has been my issue as well. It seems to fall asleep and doesn't always wake up.
Buggy software. I always charge to 100% just for that reason.

It’s happened to me 4 or 5 times since I got the car last June. My preferred charging time is between 12am and 3pm, so I can’t check before I go to bed. I usually check when I wake up during the wee hours, but I don’t always remember to do that. Luckily, it hasn’t happened when I really need it the next day.

Welcome to the club lol. Luckily it doesn’t happen too often.
falling asleep isn’t the problem, it just fails to wake up sometimes. This bug affects charging and preconditioning.
refreshing the app usually fixes it, sometimes you might need to hit the lock button. If that doesn’t work try the unlock button. If that doesn’t work, the remote start button.
please report it to ford. I reported it to ford a couple months ago and they claimed they had never heard of this issue. I took a screen shot of the app showing a estimated charge ending time of 0120Am and a current time of 4AM and no charging just to prove it wasn’t a plug issue.

I have exactly same experience last night. Lucky for me I had enough juice for my daily commute
