When the car stops when using 1pd, I don’t think it uses the motors to hold it in place. Theres a slight delay then the mechanical brakes engage when sitting still. I assume this is why the car rolls forward a few inches when stopping at a stop light just before it completely stops. Regen is stopping you while moving then the mechanical brakes engage at the very end. This is what I’ve always assumed anyway. I’m probably wrong on this.
You are right. This is a normal behavior for the MME and I think it depends on the approaching speed. The car would almost stop and then slowly/barely move forward before the brake is fully engaged. The jerking motion is a totally different feeling.

It uses the motors to bring you to a stop, then it applies the brake pads after complete stop. Yes you can feel a slight jerk when the brakes engage and the motors shut off due to drivetrain slop unloading.

So to clarify, it does use the motors to hold you in place for a brief second before the pads apply.

On a hill with 1PD you might go backwards and forwards a few inches before holding and having the pads apply.

OP is describing a different acceleration event apparently, but isn't able to reproduce it on demand.

Yeah the issue sounds sketchy. I would definitely take it to the dealer for this one. Sounds like maybe the drive software is buggy now.

Switch off Auto Hold and see if it helps. I had to do that early on on 1PD because I hated the abrupt jerking braking.
