Has anyone made any car show placards? I'm looking for inspiration.

This is what I've come up with so far:

Hybrids and plug-in hybrids.
Yeah. I'm surprised how often I say I drive an EV and they say is it a hybrid? And I say no it's just a battery. And they say so no engine? No engine.

This happens more often than I expected.

I am well aware of those but, in that case it isn't considered an electric vehicle or EV as they say, to say all battery is redundant, IMO. I am just not a fan of dumbing things down for the uninformed especially at a car show or event where you can obviously answer questions and have a discussion on a vehicle. That's the fun of it, IMO, but, hey that's just me.

Plug -in hybrids qualify for the Federal EV tax credit. They most certainly are EVs.

You know what, according to US Department of Energy you are correct so I stand corrected.

But, I stand by my original statement that I would not put all-battery on a car show placard for a Mach E, but, like I said earlier, that's just me and my opinion.

It’s a strange world. Recently the industry is lumping BEV and PHeV into the EV category.

Yeah, it’s not like this discussion is of any real importance unlike how to slice a sandwich (on the diagonal or like a troglodyte in some other barbaric manner ;)). While I tend to agree with you, plug-in hybrids are ICE cars with more to go wrong, I also like not having to explain really basic stuff at EV drive ins if I don’t have to.

A quick “story”. I was explaining to my then 91 year old father that I had a reservation on an electric “mustang” (I did not want to explain the whole Mach-e vs “real mustang” bit). His mind was thinking golf cart technology, speed and range. I had to explain about the batteries, motors, and the 270 mile range. His comment? “What will they think of next?”
