CARGO COVER - FLAPS AROUND

Sorry for the delay Sean, been a bit busy since I got home but here is a photo of my cargo cover with 1/4" foam on top. Dynaliner has a self adhesive backing so I cut it (as best as I could) and stuck it to the cover. This is going on 4 years (been in all three Mach-E's) and still works great.

Not sure how heavy the cover was without any foam but I originally I had put on 1/8" foam and it was still a bit light so went with the 1/4" foam and felt it was perfect. It weighs 1 3/4 lb.

I don't drive the car much with my windows down but the few times I have, it has never come undone. Also, in this '24 GT, they changed something in the catches as it is very hard to snap in and out. The main reason I keep the cargo cover attached in the back is for sound deadening. Having that large piece of foam back there further quiets down the road noise.

thanks for all the detail my friend, hope you're enjoying your GT, when my lease is up on my 2023 Premium, GT is what I may get, I'm assuming it's a better driving experience over the Premium, I'm hoping it has real kick compared to the non GT Models.

question, when I drive with my windows open, (my dog loves it , the cargo cover in the back lifts up and flaps around like crazy, anyone have a remedy for this, I looked online to see if there is some kind of small weight, I can attach but have not found anything yet. I know I can probably just shorten the string but wondering if anyone else has a plan.

Do you have the rubber mat in the back (tailgate) cargo area? When you want to drive with the windows open, you can place the cargo cover under the rubber mat.

I think you can also place it under the cargo area floor.
