Nice job, but for me I just put them in the glove box or the center console.
No joke! People are spending wayyyyyy too much time and effort to protect these things like they are fine jewelry or something intrinsically valuable. I guess I just don't get it, but if it makes you happy, go for it!

Has anyone added any anti-slip rubber to the sides? I find that thing more slippery than a bar of wet soap.

Going to order some small thin sheets from Amazon and see how it goes.

Will also be picking up one of these next time I'm in the US - thanks!

I agree, it looks a bit over the top. I don't have a lot of excuses to use the apache cases and decided to jump on this opportunity. At $13 it wasn't way over the top; only a little more expensive than a zippered case from amazon. When I keep them in the frunk I don't have to worry about them rolling around and they will stay clean and dry. And they look nice... see, I'm justifying it to myself all over again. :D

Very nice! At $13 this is a no brainer and I might have gone in that direction if I hadn't already made this. Also, if anyone is designing anything for the Ford/Tesla adapter NACS to CCS or the TeslaTap Mini NACS to J1772 adapter, you can use my 3D CAD models here.
Very nice! Too much effort for me, but It looks amazing!

Looks nice; However, my box from Ford slips perfectly in the slot in the trunk just to the immediate left or right. So mine stays in the Ford Box it came with.
I wonder if that was intentional...

Still waiting on mine to ship. Should I be concerned I haven't received mine yet? It was supposed to ship last month and got pushed back, now it's looking like it'll get pushed back again.

No, don't be concerned yet. I got mine last week and my order was ~29,000. The estimated ship dates have moved around a lot. When just Tesla was making the adapters they were producing 8k/week and getting 3k-4k to Ford per week.

This is interesting/worrisome in that my order number is, I think, lower than yours and I’ve heard nothing from Ford or FedEx. My Ford.com account still shows November 2024 as my expected shipping date.

The link to the adapter status is back at the top of your Ford.com account page. If you can get to that page, you can get your order number. Looks like this:

Order #
FAE:90xxxxxx

Ignore the beginning 9, the xxxxxx is your order number. That way you'll have a better idea of where you fall in the queue.

Thanks for posting this by the way - picked one up on the week-end.

It's certainly over-kill, but for the price and the simplicity it's great.

Glad my post was helpful. Did you do any extra work on the foam? I think I might have posted about it already, but I glued the top two foam layers together with 3M super 77 and then made the foam more durable with several light coats of plastidip spray. I didn't do the bottom layer of pick and pluck foam, but I may eventually. the adapters are held very tight and it would be nice if all the foam was glued together.

I received my Tesla made NACS to CCS1 adapter today and decided to buy a Harbor Freight Apache 1800 case for it and the A2Z Stellar NACS to J1772 adapter I already had. I knew it would be a tight fit, but the case was $12.99... ended up with a near perfect fit! The bottom layer of pick and pluck foam I left untouched; needed it to keep everything snug when the lid is closed. Could probably go with two rectangles, but I left a little support on the CCS1 side of the A2Z Stellar.

I'm very pleased with the outcome!

That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing. I’m going to Harbor Freight tomorrow! ?
