How long did it take to get a full charge at the Tomah location? How low were you when you got there? The EA station has always been reliable for me. Even was pulling over 100kw on a 20 degree day in middle of January. They have ones that are down once in a while. Users are good at keeping what ones are working on PlugShare. If also going through Madison would use the ones on corner of East Washington and Livingston. Cheapest fast chargers around. Both 150 and 300 are $5 per hour. Local utility in Madison is big on getting people to adopt EVs.
All EA locations should, when properly operating, provide the same rate of charge. When fast charging, you should charge to 80% and then continue your trip, you will find it slows greatly at 80%, and the more at 90%+.How long did it take to get a full charge at the Tomah location? Level 2 charger already installed! Thanks for the tip on ABRP.You should look into installing a level 2 charger at home, if this isn't traveling.
Plan your trips using ABRP (A Better Route Planner), and checkout charging locations with PlugShare in advance, AND day of trip.
In winter Is mainly when I use that one. My drive I do is from East of Madison to Eau Claire. Usually charge around 40% and stop at 80-85 which takes about 30 mins. In summer I use the EA stations at Sam's Club in Eau Claire since the car can easily make the 200 mile trip. How long did it take to get a full charge at the Tomah location?
