All --

I was involved in a hit and run two months ago. Been borrowing a relative's car ever since, but got a nice payout, so I ordered a 2023 Premium. Hasn't gone into production yet, but a dealer just called and said they have a CR1 2022 on the lot. Saying I could buy this today and then trade it in when my Premium comes in. Any thoughts on this? Any huge differences between 2022 CR1 and 2023 Premium? Dealer wants an answer by end of day or else they're going to contact others interested. I will say the CR1 2022 is marked up to $61,000 while the 2023 Premium I ordered is just under $60,000.

Thanks!

I have a 2022 California Route 1 and love it but not for $61,000 as I only payed $54,000 for it. It has extended range and AWD and is missing very little from the Premium model. I have replaced the wheels with GTPE wheels and it is kick ass. As for trade in value when the 23 comes in I don't know how that would work. I will say if you buy the 22 you will get the the full $7500 tax credit. Edit- you are eligible for the full $7500 tax credit.

if your tax liability exceeds $7500...

edit: did the dealer promise you MSRP on your '23?
