Dash Cam Question

Haven't gotten my MME yet, but in my previous car I had a Thinkware F800 Pro - In my MME I will hardwire a BlackVue DR900X along with a Cellink Neo battery pack for parking monitoring.

I installed a Thinkware u1000 with both front and rear from BlackBoxMyCar. Added a 7500 mAh battery back up so that I could have it on parking mode. I wired mine to the fuse so that is is always on. I have not had an issue with the power draining the battery with the battery back-up. We went away for two plus weeks, and no issues at all. I also added the extra memory card. If you do have an incident, be aware that it only saves for a few days so you need to download the information quickly, don't wait.

Installing the back-up battery took some effort. Had to find a small space up under the dash, near the glove box. I tie-wrapped it up there out of place.

There are several great post on how to install them. I followed the advice on the post which really helped in the install. Ran my rear camera through the existing wire routing on the trunk lid. Routed it through the headliner to get to the front and down the a-pillar.
