Dash speedometer laggy

Has anyone else experienced this? I have a gtpe 2022.

I’m not sure how you categorize laggy here, but in my viewpoint the whole drivers display is nothing but a CANBUS node to report the car status. I doubt it has much more compute than the minimum required to drive the display. Of note, when it displays 1 mph when my ground speed is zero at a stop light.

It’s jumping mph like I’m accelerating too fast for it to keep up

That is not typical. I would try to reboot the APIM with Volume down-next track button for 10 sec. If that did not fix it, you might need to lift the 12V ground for 20 seconds. Another thing I saw online but have not adequately validated or tested….

“See if this works for you. I had a really bad “no key detected” issue which did not bring up the backup start passcode. After troubleshooting with Ford over the phone, they had me do this procedure which did a full reboot on the car. I know your issue is separate but please see if this works for you!

1. Press and hold the brake pedal for 15 seconds
2. Release the brake pedal for 15 seconds. Do not touch anything at all during this time.
3. Slowly press brake pedal all the way, and then press the start button. You may see what looks like a loading screen on the sync display.”
