Dead battery

My Mach E GT was delivered to the dealership last week with a completely dead/defective 12v battery. The dealership has a new one on order and it should arrive in a few days. In the meantime, my GT sits on the dealer lot. I know there was earlier issues with 12v batteries, but I thought that had been resolved. My production date was mid August.

Sounds like a defective battery, not just dead.

Yes, probably a defective battery, you would have the patched software with an Aug build. That sucks, I know it's a special size.

how did this end up going for you? Mine just arrived in the same condition. they're trying to charge the battery overnight as some people have said it can be re-conditioned...

These dead battery issues are reminding me about the 12v battery problems with the Cmax when it came out back in 2013! I don’t remember what they did about it but my 2014 Cmax was good for several years before I had to replace the 12v battery.
